James smiled as they met for the kiss, it was lingering and affectionate. "Thank you darling. You really are such a sweet light."He took Max's hand and walked with him down a flight of stairs out past the dining room and outside into a huge garden filled with flowers of all colors and sorts. James lead Max along a dirt path until finally the reached a clearing, grassy surrounded by rose bushes with butterflies everywhee and right in the center was a blanket and set out where all sorts of food. "Ta da!"He pulled Max forward with a soft laugh as he brought the other into a hug, "I know it's not the most eloquent of banquets, but I really hope you like it."

Max smiled, glad to have been able to lift the other's spirits some. He was content to follow the other out of the castle, admiring the scenery as James lead them to wherever they were going for this picnic. He laughed as he let James pull him forward into a hug as they approached the blanket. "James... we're princes. We can have a fancy dinner whenever we want. This...... this is much nicer and more meaningful."

James smiled as he sat down but before even touching the food began the odd prayer his head bowed and his spoke in what sounded like jumbled words and syllables. Then when he was done he looked up with a smile, "Alright love! Let's dig into this delicious meal."He began to eat starting with the potatos and some sort of cheese. He began to eat a content hum leaving his lips as he swallowed before speaking. "Best part is my parents have no clue how to get here. It can be one of our little escapes!" He smiled softly at Max as he continued to eat happily
//so I was thinking after the nights party, we'd timeskip to James' going to Max's kingdom and then to the marriage and take it from there

Max watched curiously as the other did his little thing before eating. He wasn’t sure what it was, but he didn’t say a word about it, not wanting to interrupt or distract the other prince. Once James was finished and had grabbed his own stuff, Max reached for some food for himself. He just picked at a little bit of everything, choosing whatever looked good to him at any given moment. He smiled and nodded at the prince’s suggestion. ”That sounds perfect James. Hopefully you won’t need such a place back in Casparius.”

(Sound like a plan! Any idea where they should have their wedding and which kingdom they should be living in after they are married?)

James laughed softly and pushed back his curls with a giggle, "I'm sure we won't have to in Casparius. Besides I'm so excited to see your county!"He laughed as he continued to eat his lunch slowly and methodically small bites and small drinks of water as he spoke, well some habits are harder to kick than others, then he turned to Max, "Are your feelings for this marriage changing any? Or are you still just here for Casparius' sake?"He asked as he blushed, t was a bit more forward of a question than he was used to asking.
//I think they should having the wedding in the mountains and live in Casparius just because that goes along with James getting to be free

Max smiled at the other's excitement. "And I'm excited to show you it. I really do think you'll like it very much..." he remarked happily as they took their time eating. He was enjoying this quiet time with the other prince, but when he asked about the marriage, Max seemed to freeze up for a second in surprise. He looked over at James and was quiet for several long moments before he finally answered. "I.... I'm....James, I already think you're an amazing person, and I'm not going to lie, I'd love to spend more time with you and to get to know you even better, But as for the marriage..... I still just think it's too extreme to soon....."

"I would like that, why don't we just postpone the wedding until we're ready? My parents can keep their mouths shut because it's our life." He took Max's hand and squeezed it with a smile. "Because I feel the same about you, you're fantastic and fabulous and beautiful. I do want to get to know you and your family and one day I want to marry you when I truly feel content."He blushed softly as he continued to eat, "Cause you know love makes you do insane things"He joked

Max’s expression turned hopefully for a bit before he bit his lip softly and glanced down, looking at their clasped hands and returning the squeeze softly. ”I would love that James, but....... do you really think our parents are going to be okay with that, because I don’t. My parents have usually been pretty lienent and given me and my siblings a good amount of freedom, but they’ve never been so strict about anything as they were about me marrying you as soon as possible.....” He smiled softly though as the other continued speaking. He wished it was that easy. Maybe it was...? He just didn’t know. He chuckled though at the orher’s joking.

"I mean we are being used as negotiations for both countries right? Then we should be able to use the power both sides have given us rock negotiate. We can pull the deal through without us getting married? We sign the contract and we still make it legally binding that we have to marry. Or, we sign the contract without marriage and leave the decision of marriage up to us?"He smiled at Max his hands still holding the other males, "There are so many options for us, Max we can control our lives we don't have to play the pawn: to our parents. I know it's askin a lot but maybe can try."Jameson kept his hands in Max's, "Because if I marry you, I want to marrry you for you, your snile, your laugh, your hilarious scream when you're sliding, the way your hair looks after you surface from the water, the way you talk to me like I'm human, like I belong. I want to be all that to you."

Max seemed to consider what the other said, slowly nodding from time to time when James brought up a good point. "I guess we could try..... It would certainly be nice to have an actual say in all this..." he smiled a little, starting to see what James was trying to say and slowly nodding again. His smile widened as the other prince began listing off things and he immediately answered, "You are becoming all that. And a few other things. It just needs time..... And I do not scream when we go sliding!" he exclaimed with a laugh as his thought shifted back to what James had said.
