Matthew smiled and nodded. He watched her go. He then got his daughter in bed and laid down with her. It wasn’t long before he was asleep. He was tired from the days events.

kate woke up in the morning. she realized she had fallen asleep in the chair and sighed. she was still tired but she pushed through it and went to make pancakes for the family.

Matthew woke up and noticed his wife missing. He got out of bed leaving Sofia to sleep and went to find her. He smiled when he did and he kissed her cheek. “Morning love. How did you sleep?” He asked her.

kate smiles when matthew came in. “i fell asleep in charlie’s room so it wasn’t the best sleep but it’s okay.” she told him and yawned a bit. she flipped some pancakes and soon sofia ran in. she grabbed a pancake off the plate and while she was turning, her hand hit the hot pan. she started crying and kate quickly started to run her hand under cold water. “it doesn’t look like a bad burn, it’s okay.”

Matthew watched his daughter run in. “Sorry you didn’t sleep too well.” He said to his wife. He frowned when Sofia got burnt. He grabbed the burn cream and came back. When her arm was dry, he put the cool cream on her arm and then picked her up.

kate watched him pick her up and felt a tad bit jealous of their connection. she finished the pancakes and left to get charlie, who she heard crying on the baby monitor. she rocked him a bit and fed him. she put him in better clothes and went back downstairs. she put him in the stroller and texted matthew that they were going on a walk.

Matthew got Sofia to eat and then ate himself. He texted his wife back when he saw her text. “Want me and Sofia to come? You should eat something before you go...” he was hoping that she was okay.

"you can come if you want. i already ate." she told him, which was true because she had eaten some cereal before they came down. she started walking slowly, waiting to see if they were coming. it was hard raising a baby in the castle, it was so much easier on kate when they were at the farmhouse. it had started to take a toll on her.

“Okay.” He texted back. He then looked at Sofia. “Want to go on a walk with mama and baby brother?” He asked her. He stood and put on his shoes.

sofia nodded and put on her shoes. she ran out and hugged her mom. kate hugged her back and picked her up and started walking again. she talked a bit with sofia and looked back at mathew.
