Matthew was holding his son and looking out the window. He smiled as his daughter hugged him. “Yeah. Dinner will be ready soon. Then we can start painting if you want.” He said to her.

kate took charlie back since she needed to give him his medicine. she helped the maids set the table after putting charlie in his seat and called her family down for dinner. she was glad it was a peaceful night.

Matthew smiled at his wife and kissed her as she took Charlie. He smiled at his daughter. “We should head over to the table for dinner.” He said and walked to the table.

sofia sat down in her seat and started to eat. kate looked at matthew. “are you guys starting to paint tonight?” she asked and eat a few bites of her food. she hadn’t felt that well the whole day, heaping charlie didn’t get her sick.“i think i’m just going to take it easy tonight. i think charlie might’ve gotten me sick too.”

“Yeah. I was going to work on her room. She is welcome to help if she wants.” He said to her. “I’m sorry you don’t feel well.” He said to her.

kate nodded and walked away. she rocked charlie and put him in his playpen. she wanted to try to sleep. she fell asleep pretty fast and slept for awhile before charlie woke her up.

He went to his daughters room and worked on painting it with her. When they were done, he smiled. “How about you sleep with mom and I tonight? I don’t want you sleeping with all the paint fumes.” He said to her.

sofia smiles and jumped up and down. “yes! it can be a sleepover!” she said and ran up to their room. she ran up to kate and hugged her. “i’m sleeping here tonight!” she told her, proceeding to get paint all over her. “sofia, you need to clean up.” she told her and started the bath in their room. she changed shirts and helped sofia get cleaned up.

He laughed. He watched her run off and he cleaned up before he went to their room to get ready for bed. He waited for the two of them.

kate lifted sofia onto the bed and picked up charlie. “i’m going to go bring him to the nursery.” she told them and yawned before leaving. she fed him and sat in the chair with him because he became a bit fussy. she fell asleep with him in her arms for she was exhausted.
