Her dad nodded and got the paint they needed. He picked her up when she came back. “That’s why.” He said and carried her to the checkout. He paid and then headed to the car.

sofia was scared of the people freaking out over them. “why are we so special?” she asked him and and buckled her seatbelt when she got into her car seat. “thank you for the paint.”

“Because your mom and dad make decisions that effect their lives daily. You know how your mom and I are the king and queen? Well, that job is a very difficult one and it is very public. Everyone knows who we are and they know the decisions we make because they effect their lives.” He said as he got the paint in the car. “No problem dear. You are going to help me paint your room though right?” He asked her with a smile. He got in the car and drove home.

sofia nodded. “is that why you were sad? because you made the wrong choice for them?” she asked and watched him put the paint in the car. she tried to pick on up put it was too heavy so she dropped it. the lid wasn’t on very good so it popped off and paint went all over the car. sofia started crying. “i didn’t mean to. i’m sorry. the paint had splattered all over sofia.

“No. I’m sick but I am going to be okay.” He said to her. “It’s okay.” He said. He could buy a new car. That was fine with him. “How about you let me handle the paint.” He said to her. They would still have just enough to paint her room. “Let’s go inside and ask mom to help clean you up. He said and went into the castle.

kate was still asleep. sofia got out of the car and looked at matthew. "i am very sorry. i can help clean the car if you want me to." she told him and went inside to find her mom. when she saw she was sleeping she went back to matthew. "mom is sleeping."

“Okay. Let’s get you cleaned up. Don’t worry about the car.” He said to her. He wasn’t mad at her at all. He walked into the bathroom and started to try to get the paint out of her hair.

kate woke up when she heard charlie and went to get them. she then went out to the car to see if they needed help with anything and saw the mess. she went to find them and pulled matthew aside. “what in the world happened to the car?”

Matthew was still trying to get paint out of his daughters hair. He looked at her. “I will be right back sweetheart.” He said and walked over to his wife. “There was a little accident. Sofia was trying to help carry the heavy paint and dropped one. Can you get it out of her hair? I can’t get it out and it is all over and I’m not really sure what to do...” he said to her quietly. “She was really upset. We can get the car cleaned or get a new one so I don’t care. I just want it off of her...” he said looking at his wife.

kate nodded. “getting a new car is a waste of money, we can just get it cleaned. and here take charlie, i’ll get the paint out of her hair.” she said and kissed him before going to help sofia. she got the paint out of her hair and got her clean clothes. sofia ran over to her dad and hugged him. “is it almost dinner time? i am starving.” she told him.
