He waited for her to come back and he wrapped his arms around her and kissed her cheek. "I love you." He said and held her close.

"I love you too. Hey Matt... thank you for everything. When you asked me to marry you, I finally knew what love was like and then when we had Sofia, I wanted to give her the love that my parents never gave me but I am so glad that you love me and Sofia so much." Kate started tearing up.

Matthew looked at her and smiled wiping away her tear gently. "Hey. It's okay my love. Of course I love you and Sofia. You two are my world." He said. "I gave up everything for the two of you and I would happily do it again." He said holding her close.

Kate buried her face in his side and continued to cry. She was trembling and shivering at the same time. She was freezing. "I still feel horrible for making you live the castle because of me and Sofia. I hope you still love me the same..." She whispered and took a deep breath.

Matthew pulled the blanket up to her chin so she could warm up. "Of course I love you all the same. I really love you." He said holding her close. They had never told their daughter he used to be a prince and technically still was. He was just no longer going to be king.

Just then there was a knock on their bedroom door. She quickly opened it and ran over to Matthew. "Someone is in out house Papa. I saw them come in when I was going downstairs to get my cup of water because my throat hurt but I ran back up and now I'm telling you."

Matthew looked at her and listened to her. He grabbed a sword he kept close to his bed. "You two stay here." He said quietly. "Stay quiet." He said and walked out. "Lock the door." He added as he left and went downstairs to see who it was. He was ready to fight whoever it was.

Kate got up and locked the door before sitting down and grabbed Sofia to put on her lap. There was a person trying to open up their safe that was kept in the laundry room. He unlocked it but turned around to see Matthew. He stood up with a glare.

Matthew looked at the guy. He had already called the cops and just needed to hold him off until they got there. Matthew was watching the man closely ready to fight at the first sign of a struggle.

The guy ran for the door but froze when he heard police sirens. He got arrested and all was well. The safe was still wide open though. Kate was super tired and sighed. She stood up and opened the door. "Matthew..." She groaned and put Sofia back into her room.
