"What do you want to watch?" He asked turning it on and started to flip through the kids channels.

“You pick.” She told him and yawned. “Do I have to go to my room when mama gets home?” She asked him.

He picked a cartoon and then looked at her. He shook his head. "Not if you don't hang on her and such. She needs to rest after a long day at work." He said to her.

Sofia nodded and soon fell asleep. Kate came home at 8 instead of six. She waved at Matthew and slowly walked to their room.

He had taken Sofia up to bed when she was asleep for a while. He saw Kate and followed her up and wrapped his arms around her. He kissed her. "How was work?" He asked her with a small smile.

“Horrible. How was Sofia?” She asked quietly. She sat down and grinned. She was tired but wanted to talk to him.

"Bad at first but things got better at the end. I figured out what was going on and we have to find her another place to go. There is a girl bullying her and hitting her in her class." He said to her. "You should sleep." He said to her.

“Ugh. I’m sorry. I know another place. It a bit farther away but it should work. I want food.” She told him quietly.

"Okay. It is not your fault. We have a lot to figure out." He said with a sigh. He kissed her cheek."I will get you food." He said to her. He went downstairs and cooked.

Kate followed him and hugged him from behind. “Did she go to bed okay?” Kate asked him.
