Bucky looked up at her question, thinking through which name he should say. he ended up going with the one he thought of himself as. "my name is bucky." he told her with absolutely zero conviction. it was his name, though. he just hadnt said it in a very long time.

zelda actually really liked his name. she then got an idea, if she was nice, maybe he would let her go. she gave him a small smile, "bucky, i like it." she carefully pushed the cellar door closed so that the draft would stop freezing her hands.

Bucky nodded a tiny bit, watching her quietly. "would you like something to eat?" he asked her, turning away from her to start towards the kitchen. it wasn't really a kitchen, it was more of a... weird thing that gave him food to keep him alive. he didn't make the food, it just kind of appeared, and it always kinda had

zelda followed a few paces behind bucky and nodded before speaking, "i would, thank you." the next room that they were in was quite spacious, it had a few windows and when zel looked out of them she could see the blizzard raging outside. she hoped that her mother had managed to get home safely and was trying to move on. zelda didn't see a way out of her current situation.

bucky stepped up to the strange magical thing that always brought him food, turning back slightly in order to speak over his shoulder. "what would you like?" he asked her, "you can have anything you want." he fished around in his pockets for a moment to find the key to unlock the drawer-y.. door-y.. thing. once he found it he set it on the counter in front of him beside the... thing.

zel thought for a moment before leaning against the counter about a foot away from bucky, "oh, uh some pasta might be nice." while she was in the cellar if he brought her meat, she didn't eat it nor did she eat any of the potatoes. even though bucky seemed to be kind to her there was still fear bubbling and boiling in her stomach, she didn't know if one day he would just snap or if he would always be this docile.

bucky reached up and pulled the lever on the wall. he waited about ten seconds before using the key to unlock the slidey-doory-drawery thing. he waited another little bit before pulling up the thing. behind it was a plate of pasta. he reached out and grabbed it, then turned and handed it to her. when she took it, he turned back and pulled the thing back down and locked it back up.

zelda looked at the thing in awe. she took the pasta in her hands and the plate was warm but not too hot, regardless she set her plate on the counter and thanked bucky before deciding to make a joke, "well at least i know the food can't be poisoned." she let out a soft laugh, if she was going to be stuck here forever she may as well try to get along with her new roommate.

Bucky allowed himself a small smile and replied softly, "No, no, I suppose that it can't be poisoned." he left the counter to head into a door nearby. that specific room was a small little living area with a fireplace. there was a couch and two armchairs on either side of it with a table in front of them. he sat on the armchair farthest from the entrance and nearest to the fireplace with a window behind it. he assumed that Zelda would take the incentive to follow him, though he didn't really care either way

zelda stood in the kitchen for a moment before following him with her plate of pasta and her fork. she sat in the armchair across from him and closest to the entrance of the room. getting warmer with the fireplace she shrugged off her large coat so that she was left in a black long sleeve shirt with a captain america insignia on both shoulders. she didn't think much of her shirt as she began to eat her food.
