bucky growled and grabbed onto the door handle, yanking it open, then grabbing the woman he had locked inside and dragging her out, pushing her up to the staircase before dropping her, "go." he snarled, and then turned back to the other one, whom he then grabbed and shoved into the room that had been previously occupied by her mother. "you will stay here," he growled before slamming the door shut and locking it.

zelda sat in the darkness of the cellar. there was no light other than the little bit that came out from the crack at the bottom of the door. the room was fairly cold. to get used to her surroundings she ran her fingers along the wall as she walked around the perimeter of the room to figure out how large it was.

bucky left the basement after he was sure the door was locked and secure. he went to the room where he spent most of his time and stayed there for a couple hours, at least long enough to cool down. once his anger had subsided and he felt more guilty than anything else, he went to fetch a plate of food for his apparent prisoner and took it down for her. he opened the door to set the plate of food onto the floor.

zelda jumped when she heard the door open. she didn't have anything to use as a weapon if for whatever reason the guy decided that he wanted a fight. she slowly walked to where he set down a plate of food. she was skeptical of the man and the food so she stayed about three feet away from the guy on the other side of the room from him.

"the foods fine," bucky spoke roughly, though his voice wasn't loud. without that strange, irrational anger, the male was much more docile, and he had no intent of harm. "I didn't poison it, or anything..." he told her, stepping lightly back through the doorway. he waited for a short moment before he took another step back and grabbed the door, shutting his quietly and locking it once again.

once the door was shut zel walked over to the food and knelt down in front of it. she looked down at it before picking up the bread roll that was sitting on the plate taking a small bite. when nothing happened after a few moments, she ate the rest of the food.
when she was done she set the empty plate by the cellar door and went to go sit against the wall. she pulled her knees to her chest and began to quietly cry.

days passed before Bucky worked up the courage to really let her out of the room. he had ventured outside to close and lock the gates as an extra precaution, then returned to the mansion to lock all of the doors that led to the outside. he still brought her food and water every day, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. in the end, it had been almost ten days by the time Bucky convinced himself to walk downstairs and unlock the cellar door, pulling it open and leaving it open as he stood just outside of the doorway

zelda had not said a single word to bucky during her time here. she didn't even know how long she was gone. when he would bring her food she would wait until he left to eat. when he left the cellar door open zelda assumed she had an opportunity to escape she quietly walked up the stairs hoping to find a way out somehow. her eyes were bloodshot from crying every night and she was covered in dirt from sleeping on the floor.

Bucky was in his armory, sharpening swords and daggers. it was one of the only things he had left to do. he had used up ever ounce of paper in the mansion for drawing and painting, every empty book for writing, every empty wall for painting, any spare fabric fo3 making useless clothing, and he had used but every bit of available steel for weapons. when he got tired of that, he walked out and downstairs to see if his guest had ventured out of her cell. he wore the same thing he always did; his winter soldier getup with a makeshift leather sleeve over his metal arm. he came to a stop at the bottom steps and looked around

zelda looked bucky in the eyes before looking back down at the floor. having previously tried a few of the windows, she knew she was stuck in this massive house for god knows how long. she crossed her arms over her chest before quietly speaking for the first time in ten days. "why?" she asked the simple one word question but to her, it meant a lot more than just the one word, why take a prisoner in your own home? why not just let her mother go since she was being chased by the wolves. under her arms her hands clenched into fists her nails biting into the skin of her palm.
