1x1 w/ it.will.rain (Country vs. City)

Jenny blushed a violent shade of red, not expecting him to follow her. She then fell asleep for a rather long time. When she woke up the sun was bright and shining, she looked around and it took her a moment to realize where she was. Jenny slowly got up and changed into Jean shorts and a cut off tank top. She wondered if they would be hearing anymore from Liam or Mary today. She pulled on her riding boots and headed out to the barn to see Snitch.

Rolland smiled as Cocoa and Snitch neighedevery time they saw him and he lead them to the pasture along with the other horses before going back to stacking the large amount of hay. He was hot and sweaty. He saw her and smiled. He got out of the attic and walked over to her. "Mornin' Genevieve." He said with a smile. "All the horses are in the pasture. I was wonderin' if you wanted to go ridin' with me later." He said smiling at her. He really liked her.

Jenny smiled, rolling her eyes and looked down at her foot. “Well that depends on if you’re going to make me go slow on account of my foot.” She looked out the large barn door down into the pasture to see Snitch just eating as always. “Buttt if you let me pick the pace I am more than willing to go on a ride with you.” Jenny yawned and looked over at him. “So how did you know where to find me last night?”

Rolland smiled at her and kissed her. "You can pick the pace and I knew because you left flowers at your moms grave. I knew that the only other place you would go would be your old house." He said to her. Just then, Liam walked in. "So you kiss my wife and then you move on to the girl I have been in love with since we were kids?" He said glaring at Rolland. Rolland sighed. "I did not kiss Mary last night. I don't really want to date her witch is exactly what I told her last night. As for Genevieve, I am happy with her and really do want to date her." He said. He was in between the two of them just because he had his back to the door. He looked at Liam as he walked over and started to fight Rolland. Rolland fought back.

Jenny blushed when he kissed her, then jumped when Liam walked in. She knew it was coming at some point, she just hoped it would hold off. “Liam don’t do this. Blame Mary not Rolland.” Jenny jumped back when they began to fight. She knew she was useless with her foot being as messed up as it was. She didn’t know what to do.

"No! It is all his fault! He is the reason I am getting a divorce!" He yelled and took Rolland down to the ground Rolland hit the ground hard. He then rolled over so he was on top of Liam and had him pinned down. Rolland had a few cuts but other than that, he was fine. He tied Liam's arms so he could not get it undone. He then called the police. Rolland looked over at her. He had mud in the cut on his forehead. He went back to putting away hay waiting for the police to arrive. Liam was stuck. Rolland was good at tying knots so he was stuck. Rolland only got one more up before he sat down leaning against the barn.

Jenny was just standing there in shock, she couldn’t believe what had happened to two people that has been friends with each other for so long. She looked down at Rolland and once she was sure that Liam couldn’t move she walked over to Rolland to get a better look at him, make sure he was ok. “Let me at least clean that cut up, it could get infected, and then your mom would kill me.”

Liam was clearly not happy when he heard the sirens. "Come on man. Really? We can't settle this like men?" Liam said meaning more fighting. Rolland did not respond to him. He just looked up at Genevieve. "I am fine. Really I will be okay." He said. He was very muddy and did not like when people had to take care of him. He always took care of everyone else. Rolland smiled at her. "But ya are really cute for worryin' so much about me." He said and looked up when the cops came. One of them walked over to Rolland. "Same story as last time?" He asked. Rolland nodded. "Pretty much." He said. The cop looked at him. "Get a restraining order this time. Please?" The cop said. Rolland shook his head. "Nay We used ta be best friends. I'm not doin' that." He said. Rolland was still hopeful that they could fix their relationship. The cop looked at him. "Does not look like you need stitches this time so I will let you go." The cop said and helped get Liam into the car. They all left.

Jenny nodded slowly, struggling to comprehend what had just taken place. “Well I came out here to ask you if you would take me to the nearest tack shop. I’m not sure if the one in town is still open, but I wanted to get some nice, English, tack for Snitch.” She stood up and looked down into the pasture at Cocoa and Snitch. “And maybe something nice for Cocoa too, I know how beautiful western tack can be.” Jenny looked down at her boots, which were all dirty and scuffed from the sinkhole. “And hopefully we don’t see any more unexpected guests.”

"We can go. It should still be open. You don't have to get Cocoa a new tack though. Hers is just fine. It is old, but it still works." He said with a shrug and pointed to it hanging up. He did not have a lot of extra money so he never bought things before they really needed to be replaced. Because of his cars costing money until he could sell them, plus the farm not being too profitable of a business, he did not have enough to sell. He walked to his truck and got in. He put in his key and turned it on. He put on his seat belt and waited for her to get in. He looked at his face in the mirror and saw his cut and that he was already getting a bruise. He sighed knowing his mom would ask about it. She knew about all the fights with Liam. He knew she would be upset about all of this. He drove to the tack shop and got out and held open the door for her.
