1x1 w/ it.will.rain (Country vs. City)

Jenny shook her head and winced as he placed her down. “No, don’t be sorry, I had a crush on you when we were little too. Why do you think I got mad about Mary.” She took the ice and gently placed it on her foot. “I guess now we know what Liam’s mad about.” She started to shiver again from the ice. “I’ll be fine walking or riding without the boot, it just gets in my way at this point.” She laid down and looked over at him.

Rolland looked at her. He noticed that she did not say she still had a crush on him. He understood that though. "I am sorry about her. I was afraid to tell you that she was who I was engaged to. It was a huge mistake to even try it. That is why Liam has his issues. He is worried that someday, I will take her back." Rolland looked at her. "You two used to be close to each other. Sometimes, closer than us and now, Liam hates me and anyone associated with me and Eric took his side." He said to her. "To them, anyone who wants to be friends with me, is wrong." He said to her. "So, I get it if you want to be friends with them." He said to her. He shrugged a little. "As long as you are happy, I am happy. As for the boot, ya really should wear it. It will not heal if ya don't." He said to her. He laid a blanket over her and then went back to his spot on a chair.

Jenny yawned once more as she shook her head. “No, I figured that she was the one. And stop apologizing for things that are out of your control, Liam used to hit on me even when we were little, wrote me letters begging me to come back to town. But people change and theses nothing we can do.” She did still have a crush on him but she didn’t quite know how to tell him that. “Mary would’ve had a fit if you wrote to me while you two were together. But I alway did get along with the guys better.” Jenny shrugged and looked over at him.

Rolland looked at her. "That is true. He did hit on you. It was weird for me when he did because I was afraid of how you would react if I said I liked you so I didn't. I wrote to you until we got together. Then she said I couldn't anymore and I thought that I was not going to see you ever again so I went for it because I was a stupid kid. She wanted to be just like every other couple here and I didn't. "I really should let ya get some sleep. I can take ya to bed if ya want." He said. He did not mind carrying her. He just wanted her to not be in pain.

Jenny’s face fell. “Do you not want to stay up and talk to me?” She was glad to find out that their halt in communication was Mary’s fault and not his own, however she didn’t know how to respond to this information. “I just kinda thought you lost interest in me. Liam kept writing me right up to his wedding. She’s never really liked me though.” Jenny sighed. “If I must go to bed then yes please carry me.”

"If you want to stay up and talk, we can. I just thought that you were tired. Ya keep yawning." He said to her. He sat down next to her. "No it was not that at all. Mary knew that I had a crush on you. I let it slip during one of the many fights that we had. I was afraid to lose her so I stopped. She had no idea that he had a crush on you. That is why he was still allowed to." He said to her. Then when she found out, he had to stop too. I did not know how to start writing to you again. It was a real low point in my life and I am not sure that I am really out of it yet." He said to her.

Jenny rested her head on his shoulder. “Well I’m sorry about all of this. Nothing would’ve happened if I had just stayed home this summer.” She sighed, worried about the trouble she had caused. Jenny then got to thinking about Rolland’s wording. “Do you still have a crush on me?” She looked up at him and smiled a bit, hoping that the answer was yes.

"No. don't say that. I am so glad that ya came. I really missed ya and it is so nice to see ya." Rolland said and looked at her. He was not sure how to answer that question. He did but he did not want things to be weird. "I do but it is okay if ya don't feel the same way. I understand it has been a long time so I won't make things awkward between us I promise." He said smiling a little at her. He was serous. He felt like he might need to work on his house faster so that she would not have to see him all the time.

Lenore sat up and left looked him in the eyes. “Never underestimate what you can get from just saying what’s on your mind.” She then kissed him softly before grabbing the ice pack and starting the walk up to her room. “Good night.” It was taking Lenore a rather long time to head up the stairs to get to her room.

Rolland smiled and kissed her back. "Goodnight." He said and watched as she left and headed to the stairs. He gently picked her up and carried her up the stairs. He cared so much about her so this was nothing for him. He sat her gently on the bed and kissed her cheek before he walked out and into his room. He did get her a little dusty because he was still dusty from rolling on the ground. He got a shower and then went and fell asleep. He was up by 5 and went outside to do chores after eating breakfast and getting dressed. He fed the animals and then started stacking hay in the barn. He had to put it up in the attic part of the barn so it was not easy. He kept working on that.
