1x1 w/ it.will.rain (Country vs. City)

Jenny choked a little bit when he mentioned getting married. “Well that’s not exactly how we do things up north.” She laughed and started to eat a little. “Besides, we aren’t even engaged. Who know when we’ll do something like that.” She looked at everyone in the little shop.

"Trust me. I know. I don't think we are ready for that yet but I am just tellin' ya what they will say." Rolland said to her with a shrug. "I just wanted to warn ya." He said with a small shrug as he ate. He was happy that they were going to live together. "Not every town in the south is like this one. We just have an odd set of people here." He said to her with a shrug.

Jenny smiled as she thought about the people in the town asking when they’d get married. “Maybe I’ll tell them it’s next month just to mess with them.” She bit her lip and thought for a moment. “But if that gets back to your mom she’ll kill me.” Jenny thought again. “Maybe I’ll tell them we’re waiting because I’m pregnant?” She smirked. “It could be fun just to screw with them.”

Rolland smiled at her. "That would be interestin' to tell them that it is next month. I like your other idea too. it is up to you but my ma would not be happy with either of those things. I doubt that she would kill ya. She would just be really upset with me." He said to her and finished eating. He looked at her. "Do ya want dessert?" He asked her. He did not want anything himself but he did not mind waiting.

Jenny sighed and shook her head. “Nope, I’m all set, I just want to go back home with my boyfriend.” She winked as she kissed his cheek again. “I don’t think she’d be able to stay too mad at you, or us if either of those things happened. She’s always wanted grand children anyways.”

"Hm... Well, your boyfriend is a really lucky man." Rolland said with a smile. "Ya should tell him that for me." He added. "That is true. She always had." He said with a smile and paid before he stood and wrapped his arm around her back and went to his truck and opened the door for her.

Jenny blushed and kissed him softly. “You’re a very lucky man.” She winked and hopped into his truck, excited that he’d be staying with her tonight. “You’re gonna have to tell your mom soon though hun, she’ll get suspicious.” She looked down the street. “Otherwise she’ll get worried that we actually are getting married.”

Rolland smiled and kissed her back. "I will tell her soon. Probably in the next two days. I just want her to feel like I am doing better before I spring it on her so she does not think I am crazy or somethin'. I'm not but I really don't want her thinking that I did not think it through. I am a grown man who can make his own choices. Sometimes I just need help from a beautiful woman." He said and winked at her before he got in and drove to her place and got out and opened her door before going inside. He set his things down.

Jenny blushed and unlocked her front door and turned on the lights, looking out the back window to check on Snitch. “So, I’m actually kind of excited for this, believe it or not.” Jenny felt like this was starting a new chapter in their relationship. She wanted him to know that she would actually be ok with moving ahead together, she loved him.

Rolland smiled at her and walked over and wrapped his arms around her. "I can believe it darlin'. You did buy this house for us. I am really excited about it too. I think that it will be great to be together in a house to ourselves." He said and kissed her. "This will be nice. I have to get to bed though. I have to be up early tomorrow to take care of the farm." He said to her. He was not looking forward to it but it had to be done.
