1x1 w/ it.will.rain (Country vs. City)

Jenny nodded slowly. “Everyone always told us that, and when I moved away it just seemed like an impossibility. But I’m glad it happened the way it did. I love you, a lot and I wouldn’t have it any other way.” She looked out at the little downtown area at the shops that had seemed to stand still in time. “So what do I gotta wear for this ball thing next week?”

"Yes they did and I am really glad that it happened too because I love you too." He said to her with a smile. He looked at her when she asked him the question. "Whatever you want to wear. I was thinkin' about jeans. I don't really have any suits." He said to her. "But if ya want to dress up, most people do. They usually wear fancy dresses and suits but I prefer jeans." He said to her.

Jenny smiled and shook her head at him. “What on earth am I going to do with you.” She leaned over and kissed his cheek. “So are you gonna tell your mama that you’re moving in with me?” She raised an eyebrow at him, still convinced that his mother actually hated her, or at the very least strongly disliked her. “And are you gonna move your girl over to be with Snitch? She might be miserable without him.”

"I don't know love. I guess I can go buy a suit if you really want me too. You are the only one I would wear a suit for." He said to her with a small smile. "Of course I will tell ma. She would quickly find out if I did not tell her. Luckily we are close enough that I can work on the farm still." He said to her. "I will have to. She will jump the fence and try to find Snitch if I don't. They have a special connection and they will do whatever they can to be together." He said to her.

Jenny smiled and reached over the hold one of his hands. “Don’t feel like you have to do this for me. I would be so happy to have you live with me but I would understand if you didn’t want to.” She looked up as their drinks came. “But I’ll be glad to wake up next to you every morning.” Jenny winked as she looked around.

Rolland smiled at her. "Darlin' I really do want to move in with ya. I really am in love with ya and I want to do this." He said to her. "So don't think that I don't. It might take a few days before I can break it to ma. She is watchin' me a little more closely than normal since I fell but I will tell her." He said. He looked at her and and held her hand. "I really want to do this. I am sure that everythin' will be fine. Ma will not care." He said to her.

Jenny blushed and looked down before looking out the diner’s window. “Besides nothing makes me happier than the fact that you’d be willing to put on a suit just to make me happy for a night.” Jenny looked over and saw the dress shop across the street that her mom used to always get her Easter and pageant dresses from. “Who knows, maybe I’ll even get a nice dress for it.”

"You really don't have to get a new dress if you do not want to. I really do not want you to feel like you have to. I like your other dresses. You don't have to get a new one to impress me. I am happy with just you." He said. "But I really will have to go buy a suit... I don't even really remember the last time I wore one. Anytime I was in a friends weddin' I wore jeans." He said to her. He looked at the waitress as she came over.

Jenny blushed and looked down. “Now I know you wouldn’t care if I showed up in a brown sac, but I’d like to look nice every once in a while. Besides I don’t think anything I own will actually work in this kind of situation.” She giggled a bit.

"Hey, I can't help that I am not really a guy who dresses up or makes others dress up." He said to her. He started to eat when their food came. He really was enjoying being out with her. "Just so you know, when the town finds out we are movin' in together, they will probably not stop asking you about weddin' plans." He said to her with a smile.
