1x1 w/ it.will.rain (Country vs. City)

Jenny laughed a bit and walked out to meet him. “Do you think Snitch will be ok his first night here, all by his lonesome?” She was a bit nervous leaving him, after all he was her baby. She got into the drivers side and pulled out of her driveway, with just a tinge of a lead foot. “So what do you think your parents are going to say about me buying a house down her?” Jenny had a feeling that his mom didn’t actually like her, just somewhat tolerated her for Rolland’s sake.

"We can always bring my horse over." He said with a shrug but he should be okay." He said and looked at her. "What do ya mean? They will be happy that you are happy." He said with a shrug. He had never even thought that his mom might not like her that much. He had never thought about it actually. He looked at Jenny. "Why would they not be happy with you staying?" He asked her.

Jenny raised an eyebrow and sighed as she pulled into his driveway. “James, your mom doesn’t exactly love me, at all.” She handed him the keys. “I don’t know if she thinks I’m not good enough for you, or if I’m a distraction, or if I going to take you away from her. Bottom line though is that she does not like me.”

He looked at her. "What do ya mean? She loves everyone. Why do ya think she doesn't like you?" Rolland asked her. "If what ya say is true, then she would be happy that you are stayin' because that means I am not leavin' right?" He said to her. He got out and went inside and got his things telling his father what was going on since his mom was at the store.

Jenny sighed as she waited in the truck, if she didn’t know any better she wouldn’t have told his mom at all. It was just the way she acted after Rolland hurt himself that showed Jenny that his mother didn’t want her around. Jenny looked over at the pasture, able to see part of hers through the very back of their. She hope she was wrong about his mother, but knew she wasn’t.

He walked back out with a bag and put it in the back of her car before getting in. "We can go whenever you are ready." He said to her and kissed her cheek. He was so glad that he had her. He loved her and that was very obvious. He had never been one to try to hide that fact.

Jenny nodded and started the truck again, pulling out towards the restaurant. “So how did thing go for you after I left? How was high school? Did you play any sports? Date anyone else than the one I know about?” And suddenly she was filled with a little bit of fear over who would be at the resturant.

"It was okay. I spent it with my friends. The sports I did in high school were mostly horse things and bull riding. I did barrel racing for a while. That was pretty fun. I did not date anyone other than the one ya know about." He said to her with a smile. Rolland looked at her. "What about you?" He asked her.

Jenny smiled a bit. “Maybe you should take up barrel racing instead of bull riding, put my mind at ease a little bit.” She winked as she pulled into the parking lot and parked. “Still dangerous, just not as dangerous. Could get you a younger horse to race on.” She got out and headed in with him.

"Awe, is little Jenny afraid I am gonna hurt myself ridin'?" He joked. "I am fine. It was just a little fall and I would make a lot less money barrel racing than I do bull riding." He said to her. He got out of the truck and walked inside the restaurant holding the door open for her.
