OOC: It's all good! Did you want to play the therapist? I can play the cops that are gonna talk to Catherine.
BIC:
Alessa wildly shook her head. "No, I don't trust them." she winced, "Don't leave... it's not safe." Time seemed to be speeding by, as it was already 8:15. Alessa tried to think of a way to keep Catherine from leaving. She was petrified of being alone with strangers; what if something went wrong?

[Tigme]

Sure, I wasn't sure if that was the character you were thinking for wanting to adopt Alessa, or if it was someone else.))

"I know it's difficult, Alessa, but these people are trained to keep people safe." Catherine said, "There are even security guards if things get out of hand, and the last thing they'll want to do is let a little pup like yourself get hurt." They paused for a brief moment before continuing, "And I promise, I'll be as quick as I can."

[Boomer]

OOC: Someone else! She'll be working at the hospital closer to their hometown.
BIC:
"Why do you have to go?" she whined, tears threatening to leave her eyes. Alessa had never been so clingy before; normally she liked a tiny bit of personal space, but now she didn't want personal space. The girl wanted to be coddled and reassured everything was going to be fine.

[Tigme]

Oh, alright. I wasn't sure what you had in mind for that.))

Catherine sighed, "I know you said we wouldn't be able to find... her, but we still need to try." They looked at the time, which seemed to pass by as though it was nothing, "And there may be a lot of people who want to speak to you alone, about what happened. They may get a bit pushy at times, but they just need all the details."

[Boomer]

OOC: Once they get transferred, she'll be overseeing Alessa's care.
BIC:
Alessa sniffled a little and wiped her nose with her sleeve. She had to be alone with strangers and talk about what happened? She didn't think it was fair at all. "I'm not telling them anything." she declared, slightly pouting. Alessa was doing this to be stubborn, but mostly because she was afraid of anyone trying to hunt down her mother. Alessa knew if they screwed up and Dahlia got away, she'd for sure kill her without waiting around.

Alright, I'm actually gonna head in now. I've got 10 hours until I need to be back in tomorrow, so I need to get my sleep.))

Catherine's ears lowered, "Please, you need to talk." They glanced around the room before getting real quiet, "Even if you're afraid, I need you to tell them for me, okay?" They didn't want to scare her, but they were also afraid for themself if she didn't talk, "It'll make it a lot easier for myself, because if we don't know all the details there's a good chance..." they looked away and sighed for a moment, "There's a good chance social services would try to send you away, and make everything go on for even longer."

[Boomer]

OOC: Ah okay, g'night!
BIC:
Alessa seemed a bit weary of Catherine's statement. "They wouldn't..." she said slowly, "They know you didn't do it. You don't have pyrokinesis." Alessa's tough exterior was crumbling away. She was back to shaking and whimpering. "They can't send me away, they can't!" she cried, "You're innocent and she's guilty!" Alessa started sobbing now, unable to keep herself from crying.

[Tigme]

Catherine was beginning to regret sharing such information, "Alessa, please consider it. They see a little girl walking in with terrible wounds and whoever did it isn't around. You and I both know who it really was, but they don't and they need to hear it from you who really did it. They'll hear me, but they need to make sure what we say are the same things, that's it."

[Boomer]

Alessa stopped crying after a few minutes. She wiped the tears from her eyes before bringing her knees to her chest. She really didn't want to talk about what happened; it made her feel sick to her stomach to think about it. "C-can't they just confirm t-that you don't have pyrokinesis?" she winced, "I don't understand... can't I just say you're not lying?" Alessa just couldn't grasp why they'd think Catherine would hurt her; besides Scarlett, Catherine was the best thing to have entered her life.

[Tigme]

"There's more ways than pyrokinesis to hurt someone with fire," Catherine sighed, "I know it's hard to understand, I didn't mean to scare you." They paused for a moment, taking a look at the time. The therapist should be there any minute now, "Even if you don't talk, they'll eventually know it wasn't me. What you say might just make things go quicker. I'm sorry, I should have explained it better."
