"We've contacted the police to inform them that Alessa has been found." he said calmly, "They'll want to talk to you and her soon. But I think a psychologist would be best for her." Alessa was now refusing to talk, even answering simple questions about her pain. Alessa was reluctant to have her scrapes cleaned and bandaged. It was clear that she was beginning to get agitated.

[Tigme]

Catherine nodded, hoping that the psychologist would know how to deal with someone like Alessa. "I'll help out in any way I can," They said. They had to stay calm, if not for Alessa, then at least so no one gets suspicious. Why, why did it have to be the one time they accidentally get separated this happens? So much was going through their mind, they had to make so many decisions so quickly, it was only making their stress worse. They were just lucky that there weren't too many real plants around.

[Boomer]

"I'm glad to hear that." he murmured, "We'll let you know when we get a room for her." He left to go check on the room's status. Alessa curled into a ball to keep the nurses from examining her further. She didn't want anyone to touch her right now. The girl was given some pain killers into her IV.

Catherine frowned as they saw Alessa in such a state. They kept blaming themself for not keeping a close enough eye on her, they should've known it would be too much. There were so many people at the fair, but they thought the pup would've had a good time. Instead, things only got worse. They just couldn't help but feel like this was all their fault for not doing a good enough job in taking care of her.

[Boomer]

Alessa rubbed her eyes as she was getting tired. The doctor returned, then gave a smile to the girl. "We have a room ready for you." he said, "They'll take care of your burns upstairs." Alessa didn't respond as the gurney was unlocked and moved to the elevator. The doctor walked with Catherine. "Good luck..." he murmured, "She seems like a good kid."

[Tigme]

"She is," Catherine whispered, and wanted to follow Alessa for as far as they could. They'd make sure she didn't drop her doll again, and with all that's happened wanted to try and give the comfort of at least being there for her. Anyways, it wasn't as though they had a place to go, not unless they left soon enough to get checked in at the motel. But Catherine didn't want to leave yet, there was still so much to be done.

[Boomer]

Alessa was moved onto the elevator. She held onto Scarlett and quietly whispered to the doll. Once everyone was on the elevator, the doors shut and brought them to the seventh floor. Alessa was brought into a treatment room so her burns could be cleaned. She was very tense as she was examined again. Alessa turned to Catherine for reassurance.

[Tigme]

"It'll be fine, you'll be better soon." Catherine murmured as Alessa looked to them, "They just need to see how you are so they know exactly what to do." They knew this was going to turn into a much longer trip than what was originally planned. If not just for the recovery time, the paperwork would definitely take a good chunk of time too.

[Boomer]

The doctors began to flush out the burns with saline. Alessa kicked at the bed and cried out in pain. It was difficult to restrain her. She had to be held down when the wounds were slathered with antibiotic cream and bandaged. The pup wore herself out as she finally went limp.

[Tigme]

Catherine winced as Alessa cried out. It wasn't as terrible as the ones from inside the cabin, but any scream was still heart-wrenching. They wanted to step in, but this was just the doctor's job, and they ought to know better how to treat her than Catherine did. They were just a caretaker with slight medical experience, and these people were trained to do these tasks when need be. Once the doctor and nurses had finished bandaging her up, they asked, "Do you know how long it'll take for her to recover?"
