faolan narrowed his eyes slightly when she apologized. "it's alright, you don't have to apologize. I don't care," he told her honestly with a small shrug. "you can be excited, I mean this is all probably pretty different... I wouldn't know, but I would think that it is." faolan added

maria smiled. "that's kind," she said happily. "my father always told me that if i was to marry anyone of higher status that i shouldn't talk to them like i would normally, he said that it would be foolish of me to do something like that," she told him. she looked down at my feet. "well, he thought everything i did was foolish, if im being honest," she told him.

faolan nodded in understanding before speaking, "it really doesn't matter. to me, anyway. I wouldn't talk to my dad like that, I mean.. I don't even talk to my dad like that... but- yeah, I don't care. and... my mom.. probably wouldn't care as long you talk to her formerly in public..."

maria nodded, understanding what he meant. she looked out of the open window of the carriage and saw a large manor laid across a hill. "wow," she exclaimed, her mouth wide with surprise. she couldn't believe that this was where she would be living, well until she and faolan were married and found their own place to live.

faolan looked out the window at the sound of her gasp, and he almost smiled when he realized that the noise she made had been in reaction to the manor. it was a very big step up from the little farmhouse she had been living in, which was basically a shed compared to olsen's manor. "so you like it?" he asked anyway, despite already knowing the answer.

maria looked back at faolan nodded with a kind smile on her rosy lips. ''yes, of course, it's beautiful, more beautiful than i had ever imagined," she told him. she felt the carriage pull to a stop and saw the carriage door open. she let faolan get out first before she did the same. she looked back up at the manor on the hill, suddenly starting to feel nervous.

"you don't need to be nervous," foalan told her as they both stood on the ground beside the carriage, "we are surprisingly normal people when you get to know us. and this whole thing is kind of already set in stone so you actually can't mess anything up even if you tried." he turned to her slightly and offered her his arm.

maria smiled lightly. she thought it was nice that foalan was trying to help her and calm her down. it was something that not many people had done for her. she was usually on her own or she was the one trying to calm down someone else. she nodded. "if everyone is like you then i don't think it will take me too long to adjusted," she said honestly. she giggled a bit. "i guess that is true," she said before gently taking his arm.

faolan offered her a smile, making it as kind as he could manage. he quietly started the walk up the path to the staircase that led up to the main doors of the mansion. after a few moments of silence, faolan started softly, "i don't really know what's going on today... no one has told me anything about what exactly is happening, so I can't warn you of anything that might happen..."

maria walked alongside with faolan as she walked towards the olsen manor. it seemed even larger and more elegant up close. she looked at the huge door that was just up the steep staircase. she listened to what faolan said and nodded. "that's alright, i think ill be able to handle it, ill just try my best to fit in," she told him.
