this is a 1x1 w/ rebel scum and I, please don't post 'less you're one of us, it's just common courtesy

val was raised in the rebellion. her mother was a
pilot, her father a gunner, and they meet due to this.
val immediately caught on to being a pilot and
found incredibly joy in learning to fly and serving
the rebellion. she discovered her force sensitivity
when she protected herself from a nearly fatal crash
and survived on the planet she had fallen onto for
nearly a week before she was found.

using the force makes her incredibly weak and honestly
she would just rather not. she hates everything to do
with the idea and will yell at anyone who ever brings
it up.

jacey is uh, jacey is a mess. he had
confidence issues and tbh is just really
anxious all of the time. he's of average
intelligent, and doesn't have any special
quirks in that department. if anything,
his hesitance and clumsiness results in a
lower performance result.

jacey looks up to fellow engineers and is
always willing to help out or be of assistance.
he finds companionship in anyone he can,
and honestly just loves everyone.

born on mandalore, a child jasey
was caught up in the fight against the rebels
at a young age during one of the wars that
destroyed his home planet. he never knew
more than that, having grown up amongst
the rebels and always told only that about his
past.

he got a job with his partner, 3n-e, as an engineer
working on the ships of the resistance fleet. while
he's just a junior engineer, jasey does he best.

Jaye Silvun
➹ Appearance;;

Jaye is a tall human male with light skin and a medium runner's build. He has short, light blond hair and warm brown eyes.

➹ Personality;;

On the ground, Jaye is far from social. He tends to keep to himself, spending his spare time reading and training, or (rarely) lending a helping hand around the hangar. When he does talk, he has a kind, considerate demeanor, and while he's a very good listener, he rarely shares anything about himself in return. He believes strongly in the cause he works for, and in always doing the right thing. His moral compass is strong, but he sees the war (and many other issues) as perhaps a little more black and white than it truly is.
In the air, Jaye takes on an extraordinarily different persona. The adrenaline and the rush of battle bring him out of his shell, perhaps a little too much - he is known for being a horrible backseat driver, always shouting at his pilot over comms to pull some tricky maneuver to get him the perfect shot. Occasionally, he'll even beg them to break formation or defy orders to follow up on something he saw from the gunner's chair. When they do listen to him, though, he proves his worth with his expert aim and sound tactical mind. He aspires to work his way through the ranks to the point that he can put it to better use, but for now, he has to content himself by shooting down any enemy in sight.

Jaye was inducted young into the rebel cause. His parents both joined when he was quite young; they are still alive and active somewhere in the ranks. For a time, he helped out with basic, safe tasks around the base, and slowly began to learn the basics of gunnery as he grew older. He got his first assignment as a ship's gunner when he was eighteen, and from there he has learned to master a wide variety of ships' guns. His post often changes based on availability and necessity, but he adapts well to each new ship and each new system. New pilots, however, can be a different story.

➹ Appearance;;

Kupik is a vulpine Amaran, a bipedal fox-like being. He stands at about three feet tall, and is covered in soft, orange and white fur, with black paws like your typical red fox. He has dark, beady eyes, and a face capable of carrying much more expression than an ordinary fox's would. He has a bushy tail he keeps impeccably groomed, and is usually wearing brown mechanic's coveralls.

➹ Personality;;

Kupik doesn't care much for the grand talk of believing in the rebellion and believing in hope. He just shows up and does his job. He's cynical, considering the galaxy doomed no matter what, but too resistant to change to do anything else. In spite of being a nobody among legions of fellow mechanics, he is quite territorial of his space in the hangar, and anyone trespassing in his workstation is in danger of taking a wrench to the kneecaps if they don't shove off. In spite of his rather negative outlook, he lives for a good challenge. In his downtime, he can be found using salvaged scrap to create tiny, simple droids that help him with menial tasks when he's got his hands full of engine parts.

Kupik was a trader before joining the rebellion. He had no favored side in the war, and gladly sold to both, but it just so happened that he was delivering a shipment of weapons and parts to a rebel base when it was besieged by the First Order. Forced to help or die, he found a kind of purpose and camaraderie among the rebellion, and decided that traveling was overrated anyway. With his experience fixing up various machines, droids, and ships in order to sell them, he was an invaluable asset to the mechanic's corps. His small size meant he could reach compartments in engines mechanics of other races had difficulties with. The unwanted side effect of this is that he feels safe enough in his position to talk back to his superiors, his fellow mechanics, or anyone and everyone who so much as looks at him oddly.
