sighing at the bell to ring, gert stood up and picked up her notebooks. it was friday, so that meant, everyone was either attending a party, commit a dumb crime or just being plain stupid and getting in trouble. however, at her lovely private school, there weren't as many rebels or bad boys. mostly, no scary people except her best friend alex. his determination to be scary amused her. when the bell rang, gert hathaway stepped aside as a herd of teens headed towards her. "some people are trying to not get ran over!" she called, but no one answered. leaving the classroom, her eyes searched for alexander. finding him, he was surrounded by a bunch of popular girls. "sorry, but i need to take him for a minute." gert grabbed his hand. unfortunately, the queen bee of the school spoke, "gert, he doesn't belong with a geek like you." "yeah, he's my best friend and you girls are snakes who will do whatever it takes to get a guy underneath you fingers. so, bye! " gert said walking back slower and pushing alexander outside of the school building. "alex, we need coffeee and 20 burgers. 4 for my family and 16 for the dinosaur thing my parents own."

frowning that he was saying goodbye to his friends already, alexander faked a pout before he followed gert out of the school. "lets not forget that my family itself needs 50 burgers just for everyone to feel full." lex joked, as he usually did at his rather large family. "why do your parents own a dinosaur, anyways? like. did they somehow dig up bones and bring it back to life?" he asked as the pair walked side by side. out of habit, the male checked his watch just so he knew he had time before his evening events. "but, yes, coffee and burgers. sounds like a date." he teased as he shoved his hands into his pockets.
