The man had just gotten into his car when he noticed Devyn getting into her own car, and he smiled softly. Today is a good day, August thought to himself and drove to his dorm across campus.

Devyn drove to her dorm and went in, tossing herself onto her bed. She allowed her phone to just lay, partially expecting August to contact her.

He entered his dorm room and laid down on his couch, sighing softly. Yep, today was definitely good and full of surprises. Part of August told him that he should wait to text Devyn, but another part told him that he should just go for it. He texted her, "Hey! It's August".

Devyn jumped lightly when she heard the ringtone of a message someone had sent her. She smiled when she noticed that it was August. “Oh hey!”, she replied and sent it, letting it set down beside her.

"How are you? Tired after your winning game?" he asked after waiting for a few minutes, not wanting to seem like he was needy or clingy. August pushed the button to shut his screen off and patiently waited for her response.

Devyn flicked on her phone and began typing a few seconds after she read the text. “Yeah, what about you? Are you tired of just sitting there on the benches?”, she replied and shut off her phone.
