"Well, you can come pet Dizzy whenever you'd like." Check nodded, now very excited to introduce his precious little pup. "She's good for calming me down. I think you'd make a good dog owner when you think you can afford it." He assured him.

"I'm thinking of a Collie or Doberman," he informed, trying to think of dogs that were big and good for making him feel safe though in reality, he wasn't sure what dogs would actually be good with that. Still he brushed it off and followed Check to his home to meet Dizzy.

Check giggled. "Two of the pack members are named Collie and Doberman." He remarked. When they came upon a tall, stone building, Check motioned to turn here. "I'm on the 7th floor." He said as he came in, greeted the receptionist, and headed for the elevators.

Ruby was silent and let go of Check's hand when he noticed the receptionist, a small bit of him still fearing judgment from those around him, he also pulled up his hood. It was only when they were by the elevators that he pulled his hood back down. He was silent for several moments. "So I've been thinking about seeing a therapist.." he started.

Check stiffened a little bit, clearly thinking deeply. "I think that could be good," he said gently, treading carefully on the grounds of Ruby's stability. He looked down at Ruby, one eyebrow raised. "What brought it into consideration?"

"I need to get a note and uhm.. I should probably get information on whatever is wrong with my head," he replied a bit nervously. "I have some very minor brain damage after the whole, explosion thing.." he reminded. "But its nothing serious, it probably just caused a few issues when it comes to emotional things."

Check nodded, taking note of these things. "Okay... so nothing, like... like, Katie went to see someone when she just kept having nightmares over and over. You're not having nightmares, are you?"

"Well I mean, sometimes, but I get some flashback like things more often though." he ran a hand through his hair with a sigh. "Its mostly just stuff about injuries and losing people. Normal stuff"

"Yeah, I guess normal is kinda sucky when you live lives like ours." Check sighed, but he brightened as the elevator finally stopped and he could lead Ruby to his flat. "Okay, so, Dizzy is tiny. Like, she might get under your feet when I let her out of her pen, so just be careful." He warned Ruby as he opened his door. Small, excited barks mixed with cries started immediately. Check's demeanor melted as he greeted his puppy. "Hi, baby girl! O hi, precious!"

Ruby nodded but didn't verbally respond, stepping in behind Check then watched while he greeted his puppy. He vaguely remembered taking care of a kitten once. It didn't last long. He seemed confused by the way the puppy reacted but didn't question it as he assumed she must've been feeding off of her owner's emotions. Check was very excitable.
