she decided that her appearance was fine with just changing the dress and headed to camilla's room, but it was empty when she checked. gwynne shook her head and went downstairs, finding that the princess was actually down there waiting for her. "sorry about the wait," she apologized.

camilla shook her head and pushed herself up. "no, it's alright," she said to gwynne. a tall, handsome guard walked up to the two ladies and bowed to them. "m'ladies, camilla and gwynne. i will be escorting you to the armondo estate," he said to them. he lead both of them out of the castle and too the cobblestone rode in front of the castle. camilla got into the carriage that they were provided and sighed. she needed to think of what she would say to the prince, what they could talk about.

"oh," was all she could murmur in response to the guard, and she curtsied as a non-verbal thank you. gwynne followed after the two and sat beside camilla in the carriage, patting her leg as a small attempt at comforting her friend. it was getting harder and harder for her to control her feelings, but she still had to be there for her friend -- especially at a time like this.

camilla felt like a prisoner being carted away as the carriage rode off towards sereks. soon she would have to act more like a lady. she would have to have proper posture and speak properly. she needed to remember the proper terms to call all of the nobles. "gwynne, you've been asking me all day how i feel but i haven't returned the question," she started. "so, i want to know how you feel," she finished.

she pursed her lips and glanced out the window, trying not to make it obvious that she was avoiding camilla's gaze. "well, i'm not entirely sure how i feel about this whole thing," gwynne said, and it wasn't a total lie. she was going to a completely new and unfamilar area, which scared her to say the least.

camilla nodded. "i guess you feel the same way that i do," she said to her, gazing out at the rolling landscape. "but it must have harder for you, you had to give up your whole life to come with me. you had to become my lady," she said. she sighed. gwynne had her whole life ahead of her and she felt like she had ruined it all.

"i don't mind. i've always found a home with you," she admitted, and her cheeks flushed red when the words spilled out of her mouth. "besides, you need me," gwynne joked lightly as if nothing had just happened and elbowed camilla gently in the ribs. she didn't want her friend to figure out how she felt now...not at a time like this.

camilla smiled and nodded. "me too, no matter what we've been through we've always been together," she said to gwynne. they had been together since birth practically. she giggled a bit. "i guess that is right, i don't know what id do without you," she teased her friend. she looked out of the window. "i guess we'll be in sereks soon," she said with a sigh.

she couldn't help but laugh a little at camilla's giggle and nod in agreement, raising her eyebrows in a teasing way. but the silly mood was ruined when her friend looked out the window and sighed, murmuring about how they were almost in sereks. "it can't be that bad," gwynne sympathized.
