camilla threw her arms out in front of her and caught onto the stone wall with just her finger tips. her small arms were already burning from the first moments. she started pushing up with her arms, groaning in pain as she did so, trying to pull herself onto the wall. she started to hear yelling and attack dogs barking. she had to get onto this wall or she was as good as dead.

her eyes shifted to camilla and watched as she struggled to pull herself up onto the wall, hanging on with just her fingertips. gwynne risked the chance and jumped for the wall, not caring if an archer would be waiting for her as soon as she got up. it was either her or the princess, and she definitely didn't want it to be the princess.

camilla felt dizzy as the barking and shouting grew louder. she had to get onto the wall or she would be killed, or at least captured and forcefully married for sure. either way, she knew that the prince would kill gwynne for helping her. she couldn't let that happen. she was determined to heave herself up. camilla desperately reach forward with her arm, trying to get more leverage.

hefting herself up and over the bricks, she crawled on her knees in hopes that she'd be out of sight for enough time to reach camilla. gwynne scraped her knees as she hurried and made it to the princess, gently and slowly easing her onto the walkway of the wall.

her eyes were tightly closed and suddenly, she felt some weight lifting off of her. camilla opened her eyes, surprised to see gwynne trying to help her up. she did her best to push up the wall with her legs until she gently tumbled onto the wall's walkway. "we have to get to the other side," she breathed out, gasping for air.

she scanned the area with frantic eyes as she heard the dogs barking and guards shouting down below, seemingly getting closer. "you'll have to crawl like this if we don't want to be seen," gwynne whispered and dropped onto her stomach until she was completely flat on the bricks. she propped her elbows up and and pulled herself forward with her arms, keeping her head low.
