still unsure, she pursed her lips together but didn't argue against it and opened the door for camilla. "after you, milady," gwynne partially joked and motioned for her friend to walk out the door. she would have to put on a royal act and pretend as if they were only professionals -- and just that. the thought of seeing the prince made gwynne nervous, and she plastered a wide smile onto her face to rid herself of paranoia. "c'mon cami, i'm hungry! and you should at least get something into your stomach."

camilla grinned a bit as she walked out of her room and now the hall. "milady?" she questioned her words choice teasingly. usually, gwynne wasn't that formal. they had been friends so long that camilla did care, she didn't want her friend to become like all of her other ladies had been. she liked respect but she liked to have equal respect, she didn't want anyone bowing down to her. she sighed. "alright, alright," she said, rolling her eye and picking up her speed.

she couldn't help but giggle a little when camilla questioned her formality and followed after the princess at a fairly quick -- but still proper -- pace. gwynne then settled down as soon as she saw the towering doors to the dining hall and gave another small curtsy to the guards that opened the doors for them. "go ahead," she encouraged camilla and gave a bright smile to her friend.

camilla grinned a bit when she heard gwynne giggle. she made her way down the stairs and to the bottom floor of the castle where the dining hall was. she sighed. she was nervous that if she ate, the food might just come up. she walked through the doors as the guards opened them and looked at the long oak tables. they were beautiful, handcrafted by one of their trading countries. "i don't know if i'll be able to eat," she said to Gwynne truthfully before sitting down. she knew her mother and father would be in soon.

she laid a hand on camilla's shoulder at an attempt to comfort her friend, but simultaneously ensuring that no one already in the dining hall could see. gwynne dropped her hand after a few seconds and followed after the princess, appearing to the others only as a simple lady. she could only see a few other nobles and various royals, but they briefly bowed before continuing their meal. "try at least. i'll save a few sweets for you afterwards, just in case," gwynne promised and plastered on that same fake smile from earlier.

the princess sighed as she felt gwynne comforting hand on her shoulder. she looked up as a continuous flow of nobles and royals coming into the dining hall and taking their places at the table as they were instructed. "fine, i'll try," she whispered. soon she heard trumpets sound and her parents walked into the hall, hand in hand. camilla stood from her chair with everyone else and bowed to the king and queen before sitting down as they did.

she bowed before she could sit down and eat, but slightly thankful for the chance to hide her face. it was slower growing paler throughout the day -- her fear of camilla falling in love with the prince was enveloping her. gwynne was finally allowed the chance to sit and eat as soon as camilla's parents guestured for them all to do so. she politely grabbed a plate filled with mainly meat and hoped that none of the others would find this odd. usually there weren't so many people, and no one beforehand questioned it. gwynne also grabbed some rolls and fruits as well.

camilla glance over at gwynne's full plate but didn't really have the will to do the same. she sighed. she had to eat something or her parents and their guests would find it odd. she gently put a few things on her plate, a slice of ham, a bread roll and some grapes. it wasn't a huge breakfast but it would hold her own and would keep everyone from thinking odd of her. she ate slowly, unmotivated to eat any fast. her mother and father made small talk with the guests but she stayed quiet, not wanting to look at anyone and definatly not want to talk.

she glanced over at camilla and was delighted to see that she was eating, even if it was just a little at a time. gwynne herself was ravenous, and she had to do everything in her power to not rip into the meat with her own hands at the table. that'd definitely bring too much attention to her. although, she needed something to help the cravings subside, and there was no telling how she'd eat at the prince's residence. the prince, gwynne thought again and felt prickles of jealousy. at least now she could tell that camilla was unhappy about meeting him today, but there was still that lingering paranoia...

slowly, the princess finished her food and laid down her utensils. camilla watched as her father rose from his seat and began to speak. "thank you all for joining us today for our celebratory breakfast. as you all well know, today my daughter, princess camilla amanda renee nielson of vesa will be meeting her betrothed, prince henry warwick armondo of sereks. i would like you all to join me in a toast to the union that will be made between the kingdoms of vesa and sereks today," he finished. he rose his golden goblet up and everyone followed, including camilla, though she didn't feel like celebrating at all.
