He set down his bag with an eyebrow raised, "What do you need?" He hugged him back as he nuzzled his neck, "I'm here for you, for whatever you need. Shadowflier and I" he kissed him with a grin

"Okay. So I'm assuming the chief wil be in contact with you soon, asking for advice and all. If you can, convince him to give up. If not, well, try not to get in the way of things." He sighed and put his hand to his face. "Unfortunately, if he's not gonna cooperate, he's gonna have to be taken out of the equation." Jeez, he doubted that Brendon would be alright with letting the Vulture kill his police buddy, but what choice did he have?

He sighed softly and clenched the edge of his shirt with a small smile. "I will try my best darling but if he needs to die..then so be it" He sighed and as if one que his phone rang, he picked up and sighed softly, "Hello Chief. No I didn't get your texts earlier...Dear god he did?! Sir I think our best course of action is to surrender. Yes I realize it is a risk, but sirnto protect our people. Press conference tomorrow morning? Yes sir 8 am. I'll be there" he hung up and turned to Toby arms spread,"Who's the best actor ever?"

Toby sat anxiously through the call and sighed. "Does he uh, know your actual identity? Or just Shadow Flyer?" He didn't move into the hug, though, he was too nervous for that. He smiled though, and said "Thank you honey. I really appreciate it." He was obviously nervous though. The thing was, he had never directly killed anyone. Yes, there had been casualties when it came to his explosives and past raids, but that is different than watching someone die at your hands. He shook the thought out of his head, though, and smiled. "We'll make quite the team."

He laughed softly and pushed back his hair, "He hasn't a clue, I have a program that changes my voice over the phone" he placed a hand on Toby's cheek and ran his thumb over it, "Hey we'll be ok I promise" He kissed him keeping his hand on his lovers cheek, "Together we can be unstoppable, the brainy one and the brawn

//want to time skip to getting ready for the conference?
"Good. And I'll be at the press conference, even though you might not see me." He smiled. "Now I've got to go to Bernard's and prepare the suit. Depending on how the conference goes, I may be making a guest appearance." He playfully messed up Brendon's hair and turned away. "Should be home by early morning."

He smiled at him and standing on his tiptoes kissed him a hand running through his hair, "Ill see you tomorrow love." He smiled and went back into the bedroom to lie down

//The Next morning
Brendon brushed his teeth, showered and fixed hi hair before activating his suit and sighed turning in it to look at himself and he grinned before moving to the roof and jumping off to get to the city hall where crowds had gathered in hoards and The Cheif sighed in relief as he began his speech
"Citizens of New York as you know we have a villain called the Vulture that terrorizes our city and our people. We were attacked yesterday morning in which I was injured and was asked to surrender our city and through consideration have decided to yield. A murmur rose in the crowd and Brendon looked around as people began to whisper

Toby wiped the sweat from his forehead. He didn't get any sleep due to the extensive repairs his suit needed, plus some upgrades. he checked the clock and sighed. Time to get going. He threw on an oversized trenchcoat and a beanie from Bernard's closet, hoping that he would blend in with the crowds of reporters that were sure to be at the press conference. Once he knew that he would blend in, he went outside and hailed a cab to the city hall.

At arrival, he joined into the crowd of reporters, giving a quick wave to Brendon. He listened as the police chief made his speech,
and looked around at the surprised faces of all of the attendees. He wanted to laugh, after all, he had finally won, but that would just make him obvious. He just stood there with a smug look on his face.

Brendon watched as the Chief trudged off and he sighed watching reporters clamor after him and people instantly bombarded Brendon and he sunk trying to move away he hated crowds they gave him panic attacks.All these reporters right up on his face screaming questions taking pictures, he felt his breathing shallow out as he tried to excuse himself

Toby knew how anxious Brendon must be. He shot his boyfriend a quick text. Hang in there. Just answer some questions and get on outta here. He smiled in Brendon's direction, but knew that he was probably out of eyeshot. He joined the crowd of people surrounding the chief, pushing his way to the front. He made eye contact with the chief and hoped that he would recognize his eyes as he coldly smiled and just said "Thank you."
