His phone buzzed and he checked the text, from the Police Chief and he sighed and threw his phone on his bag as he went back into the play working on another scene as gen counted his steps as he spun and landed in the his partners arms and they both laughed
Police Chief
When the window broke everyone took cover and Chief Barolo took out his phone to text Shadow Flier when he heard the Vulture speak, "He's our hero, there's no reason he wouldn't be here!" He pullled out his function aiming and firing at the Vulture twice, three times

TOBY
Toby looked to Barolo and laughed. "He's out hero." he mocked. "Let's see how long your blind hope in this hero holds up." He saw the chief pull out his weapon and tried his best to dodge, pulling his wings to shield himself. The last of the lights flickered out, and he laughed. His suit adjusted his eyes to the new darker lighting, and he knew he had the upper hand. He shot at the police chief, not aiming to kill, this was just a warning shot.

Police Chief
Barolo looked through the darkness as the shot went through his shoulder and he fell back with a gasp, "Heros will never turn on their cities, you do not know him like I do! You never will and he will stop you. He brings justice to all!" He held his shoulder as it held trying to find the Vulture in the darkness

TOBY
"That's very true. I don't know him like you do." He said with a slight chuckle. "I know him better." Toby walked up to Barolo and kicked him in the stomach, pushing him over. "And believe me when I say that he's not coming. I've made sure of that." He grabbed the collar of Barolo's shirt, holding him a few inches from the ground. "So if you don't formally surrender in front of the entire city, who knows what might happen?" He dropped the chief and looked to the gathered officers behind him, waving good-bye and flying back out the sunroof. He peeked back in before fully leaving and added, "You have 24 hours."

Brendon
Brendon moved with his new partner, James. Brendon lead on the scene abs he spoke, "Alright how you're supposed to take my hands and lead, 2,3,4 and spin, 2,3,4" James laughed softly as he spun the other boy and yanked him close, "Aren't we supposed o be lovers Brendon come on put your heart into this." Brendon sighed as they ran through the dance again just glad Toby wasn't here to see any of this, the final scene between them in the first act was a kiss so James lead Brendon into the balcony and dipped him kissing him, Brendon made a face but for the sake of show biz kissed back just silently praying Toby wouldn't walk in

Police Chief Barolo
He looked just about as fearful as he felt as he scrambled t his office calling alerting to discuss what their course of action would be if Vulture was right about shadow flyer

TOBY
He took off as soon as all of the lights had come back on. The device needed some tweaking to take out phones too, but he'd ask Bernard for that later. Toby flew towards the theatre, hoping to surprise Brendon with a hot chocolate at work. He landed nearby and deactivated the suit, walking into a nearby diner and ordering a hot chocolate. He then made his way to the theatre across the street. He walked into the room he knew that they practiced in, only to see Brendon holding some guy. He made eye contact with Brendon and sighed. He walked straight back out the door and sat outside. He knew that he was probably overreacting, but after everything that's been going on he didn't know what to do.

Brendon
He ran outside and looked before spotting Toby and slid next to him kissing his cheek, "Hey Darling! How was work?" He smiled and ran a hand through his hair, "It's just for the play I promise, James is really self centered and I love you. Please don't be mad." He batted his eyelashes at Tony as he took the hot chocoate and sipped it, ""you really are the best" he smiled

TOBY
Toby smiled, "Okay, nerd. You know I can't say no to those eyes." He put his arm on Brendon's shoulder. "Work was alright. Left the police with something to think about." He said with a smile. "Will have to do some repairs, though. Barolo's a pest." He gave Brendon a kiss on the cheek. "You should probably go back to work though, I don't want to get you in any trouble."

He giggled softly as he kissed Toby, "He was a very needy Chief but I'm sure that won't last to much longer." He smiled and ran a hand through his hair, "I'll be home around six ok?" He kissed hi one more time and went back into the theatre to finish rehearsal

6:00 Pm
Brendon unlocked the door to his shared apartment and called out, "Toby? You here?" He shut the door behind him and looked around, "Why were the lights off? He looked into the darkness for a switch, "Very cute darling" He called out again

Toby woke up on the couch and smiled groggily. "Sorry Brendon, was taking a nap." He slowly got up and greeted his boyfriend at the door. "I know that this is a lot, but could you do me a favor?" He asked quietly as he pulled Brendon into a hug. "I need Shadow Flyer's help." He said seriously.
