Nicole made her way back to her own seat next to her sister to watch the game. She shared some of her pretzel with the older one as they watched the pregame activities.

Several minutes into the game, the other team had called a timeout and coach called out Tyler's number. He stood up and took off his warmup clothes, then stepped to the scorer's table to check into the game before stepping onto the court. This was it. His debut. Once the whistle blew, the ball was inbounded and the play unfolded. A little under a minute later, his team had the ball and they started up the court. When the ball had been passed around a few times, it finally got into Tyler's hands. He dribbled it once, crossed up the defender, and when it was wide open, he shot the ball and made a 3-pointer.
