What happens when a person goes to a sporting event? Well, they expect their favorite team to go out and win, of course. There is, also, a chance you could meet your favorite player as well. However, don't expect to meet up with a LeBron or a Steph Curry. Those may be some of the hardest to get to. However, for other locals, they may actually be able to meet their favorite off the court.

This story takes place in Kansas City, Missouri. The NBA has recently expanded to two cities, and KC was one of them. Their team is known as the Bobcats, and this is the first year they're playing.

History Tyler's life began in Plano, Texas. He lived here his entire life and learned to play basketball at a young age. It was his life. He knew early on that he was making it to the NBA, so he made this his life, practicing day and night. During his senior year of high school, he accepted a scholarship to play basketball at the University of Kansas. Two years later, he had actually graduated early and then declared for the NBA. He was drafted into the league by the newest team, the Kansas City Bobcats, and now hopes to make a name for himself in the league.

She just graduated high school and is taking a gap year to travel and try to figure out what she wants to do with her life.

After driving for a good hour and a half, Nicole was happy to finally meet up with her sister Carrie whom she hadn't seen in a few months due to her new job and boyfriend. While waiting to get into the venue the two girls talked quite a bit, catching up on their lives and how everything with their parents were going. Once getting to the court the sisters found their seats and sat down to see their view which was pretty nice.

It hadn't been the first time he had stepped onto a basketball court, but for Tyler Gabriel, it was his first game in the NBA. He had stepped onto the court for the first time and took in the sight. He had done it. He had achieved his first major goal. He then walked over to the bench and grabbed a basketball from the rack. He dribbled it onto the court and started shooting it to warm up for his debut. Of course, while he maintained his composure, he was excited to play in the league.

Even though she was a fan of the sport, she didn't know a lot of the terms. She enjoyed watching the players interact with each other and how they would play off each other. It almost reminded her of improv and theater. Claire and Nicole watched the players warm up on the court, noticing the new player and watching him for a bit longer.

Tyler walked over to a few of the more veteran players and started to discuss a few things with them. He definitely wanted to impress in his debut and one way he figured that is by building chemistry and communicating with them. Being a point guard, he knew he had to be responsible for making sure plays went exactly as the coach had drawn up. Of course right now, they couldn't practice them, but he knew that would come later.

Nicole began to grow hungry from waiting from the game to start, she excused herself from her sister telling her to save her seat while she went on the hunt for something to eat. She walked past a few other fans and out the doors of the court, she found a consession stand and decided to get a pretzel and a water, before walking back to the court. she didn't go back to her seat right away instead, watching the players for a while. She ocasionally took a bite of her pretzel as she watched.

Pretty soon, the warmup session had ended and other pregame activities were beginning. First, the team's owner spoke to the crowd and thanked everyone for coming out to the team's first-ever game. He then promised everyone a good time that night before ending with an enthusiastic "Go Bobcats!" Tyler was smiling the whole time and heard the crowd cheer at his words. He was already grateful to be playing for this guy so far. Just then, the opposing team's roster was announced, then one of the team's league veteran players spoke to the crowd right after. Once this was over, Tyler went and took a seat on the bench as the game was starting.
