Through a skeptical stare, Alice followed the captain upstairs to the deck, her lips pursed as she thought it best to say nothing more. She was greeted by a bustling crew that resided just above the lower fleet, scrambling around and acquiring tasks that Alice of course, had no idea what they were. She couldn't help but glance the captain's way as she trailed beside him, her arms folding sheepishly as she made a surprisingly hard attempt to not exchange a single eye in his direction.

She couldn't help but wonder what her punishment would be for this mess. Alice knew that he didn't believe her earlier. He sounded completely unconvinced. Maybe the lie threw her onto even graver terms with the captain, but she was quite sure that her deed set this man on a pretty grim state with her trust and mercy. Nonetheless, she continued to stay at his side, painfully curious as to where they were going.

Captain Hale glanced over his shoulder to make sure that the princess was following, and once she stepped foot on the deck, he continued to cross it with a certain swagger in his stride. He lead her to a door, with a wooden plaque overhead, with the words "Captain's Quarters" engraved on it. He twisted the doorknob and nudged the door open, revealing a rather large room. In the center, there's a long wooden table surrounded by six chairs, with maps strewn across it. There's a drawer pressed against the wall, with a closed bottle of ink on top, a feather pen, and a compass. Overhead, three wooden lanterns tied to the beams on the ceilings, swaying gently with the waves that the ship rolls over. To the far right, is a small bed with a wooden frame.

Valentine does hold some courtesy for the young lady as he opens the door, holding it open for Alice. He nods for her to enter the room.
