"The puppies..." said Mary quietly, "That's why." She wasn't happy about it; she missed Henry and Alessa greatly.

Henry brought back a small fish for Alessa. He set it down for her, then sighed quietly.

Jessica sighed, wanting to argue they could just as easily care for them in a den. Strays did it all the time. She looked towards the door.

They slowed down again when they passed that farm.

Avalon had managed a duck, and rabbit. He sighed as he tossed the duck to Lito, calling Max to him.

Mary rested her head on her paws, then sighed quietly.

Henry looked to Avalon. "Who else needs food?" he asked softly.

Jessica flicked her tail back and forth, wondering when those humans would be back...

Avalon said "I think Hanna."

Jessi looked at Sam, whom sighed softly and nuzzled her.

[Boomer]

"What about you?" asked Henry, looking to Avalon, "Or will you find something for yourself?" Alessa began to eat her breakfast.

Mary heard voices near their door. She watched as a few humans came in. One of them she had seen before, as he seemed to be in charge of caring for them and recording the pups.

Avalon tilted his head a moment. "I think I can manage to find something. I assume you can find something for yourself?"

Jessica jumped a little, perking her ears, when she heard the voices. She watched the one that recorded them and such, tilting her head when the gentle, hard-to-identify-gender-of one approached her. This one seemed to like to just stay near her and talk.

Jessi looked at Sam, whom sighed softly and nuzzled her.

[Boomer]

Henry nodded, then looked outside. "I think I might go fishing..." he said.

Mary curled her tail around her puppies as she looked to the other human. Carter peered into Maria's cage as he watched her puppies nurse. "Her stitches look great." he said, writing this down, "And those pups are getting fat."

Avalon nodded at him. "I'm going to try to catch another duck." he stated.

Jessica flicked her tail a bit when the other one, Sol, started talking to her. Sol muttered "Mmm hmm." to Carter, and spared Mary a glance. They smiled as they kept talking to Jessica. She perked her ears at the two voices, but after a few moments felt some pain and began pacing, panting..."Carter, she's gone into labor."

Jessi looked at Sam, whom sighed softly and nuzzled her.

Mary looked to Jessica and pricked her ears. Carter turned from Maria's cage. "We should leave her alone for now." he said.

Avalon made soft sounds, heading for the lake he'd found the other duck at.

Jessica looked to Mary, looking nervous as it was her first litter. Sol nodded, moving back towards the door.

Jessi looked at Sam, whom sighed softly and nuzzled her.
