There they stood, in front of their older sister, waiting to see who would make the first move. They were training in the arena with Sheba. Sheba, the older sister. Sheba, the heir to the throne. Sheba, the one who possessed unique powers. Sheba knew that they were going to make the first move, but she didn’t know when. She, unfortunately, missed the small action that they shared, letting her know that they were about to. Nad and Lokir, the two oldest brothers shared a glance with each other before they turned their heads to the youngest, Lor’ith and nodded. They all three suddenly charged for the female, and she chuckled as she waited till they drew near. Once they were close enough, she launched herself into the air, laughing as she heard two beginning to cough from the cloud dust she left. She propelled herself back by performing a double backflip, looking down when she entered the rotation of her second flip to only see her brother Nad, have his face stuck in the dirt from face planting when he charged at her. “Predictable!” She shouted at him, making him immediately yank his head up out of the dirt to glare at her. Sheba gracefully landed and smirked, seeing the other two glare at her. Perhaps she was showing off a bit? That was okay though since the other three doing it all the time. So, why couldn’t she? She could, just this once.
Sheba then stood tall once she landed, turning to see the siblings all glaring at her. She knew they were not happy but why did she care? She then crouched low, waiting for them to charge again until she saw Lor’ith snarl at her, calling her out for her small trick, “SHOW OFF!” He shouted, making the female stripped hyena glare daggers at him. “Oh, shut it! You all do it, so why can’t I just this one time?” She snarled back, making him shut up immediately since he knew that it was all true that they did it, in fact, they did it more than she, herself did in a year. They all knew that, knew that they used tricks and tips more than she wanted to, even if her life depended on it. Deep down, Sheba was not the kind of girl, to use trips and tricks to find her way out of tough situations, but her brothers were. Oh, her brothers were indeed though.
Sheba then stood tall once more, eyeing the brothers as they crouched again, planning their next attack on her. This time though, she was going to be ready, she was going to see their little glances and nodding the head. Every little thing that they used for communication, she was going to see it. Catch it, and know. She was going to be ready for sure.
Meanwhile, up on the balcony of the palace stood the Queen herself, and Tamier, the kings second in command. To put it simply, Tamier was the one that would have taken over for Sheba’s father if he did not have an heir to his throne or someone to take over for him if he died if he did not bear any children. Tamier sighed in admiration, his eyes swiftly following the outline of Sheba. Oh, how he was in love with her. The queen knew it and saw it almost every day. She glanced at him and then began to speak, making him turn his head in her direction, “You must really her love her hmm?” She chuckled. She knew he did, truth be told he fell in love with the female ever since he saw her enter the throne room to deliver news about the Queen when she was sick. From then on, Tamier always tried to sweep her off her feet, but it did not work. It only developed a deeper bond between the two. Then he smiled at the Queen when she spoke up again, “You are going to marry the gal, right?” She asked, making him nod his head immediately. The king saw all there little moments and so did she, so that’s when he asked Tamier to take her hand when they were old enough, to keep Sheba safe. Of course, when Tamier was offered the job at hand he did not decline.
In the distance, not far away Tamier saw an outline of another creature. He glared, trying to get a closer look to see who or what it was. As he stared at it, he saw that as it came closer, it was not one of their locals. Not one of theirs. Not a hyena at all. Tamier growled and bared his teeth, making the Queen look at him curiously. “Tamier, what’s wrong?” She asked, before seeing what he was looking at, her eyes going wide. “Oh my,” She began, backing up to the balcony entrance. Tamier than crouched, “Stay inside, I will grab Sheba to see what it is!” He said, before stepping back a bit and then jumping off the balcony front with a running start. He landed swiftly and made his way to the arena, looking and seeing the siblings still battling. He inhaled, then exhaled. His voice carrying like a sonic boom. “TO ME, NOW!” It rang out, and Sheba and her siblings looked up immediately seeing him heading there way. Sheba nodding to her siblings who nodded back before they watched him pass and then fell in behind him, running as backup. Sheba however, ran up to stand by his side as the new soon to be ruler.
Sheba raised a brow as she saw what animal it came out to be. “A Red Panda? What the heck is this doing here?” She said, hoping to get a reply from her friend. He gave none, but simply stopped, holding his ground, Sheba skidded to a stop and did the same, hearing the footsteps of the boys stop too and she knew they stopped in rhombus formation. They were growling too. Sheba simply stood tall, along with Tamier. “Speak! Name and purpose of being here or entering, crossing territory borders?” He asked. “Why are you here, scrap?” He snarled, clearly not happy with the fact of an intruder showing up.
