Human appearance: Looks like Newt Scamander (real life face claim)

Dragon appearance: Small for a dragon but quite large from a human point of view. dark red dragon with orange frills and wings. Cream colored horns. Golden underbelly and eyes.

Personality: He is very sweet and very gentlemanly if you can say that of a dragon. He is in any case extremely polite and apologizes frequently. He can be a bit on the shy side but overall quite friendly even though he is guarded at first. He is easily embarrassed and can be awkward. He is very intelligent and extremely devoted to whatever task is at hand.

History: He's was the only egg to hatch in his clutch. His mother Shazzu and his father Qeky raised him. They called him Ysyd. He would later change his name to Damien. He was always an odd dragon, not taking much interest in others and not always off hunting. He was a bit to quiet and a bit to kind. From his point of view his family was to loud and to chaotic. As soon as he could fly he went off and found himself his own cave. It was then that he started taking interest in humanity. He found the little creatures fascinating. And their books more so. His hobby became looting various Kingdom's libraries and creating his own collection of books. When he discovered the flammability of his beloved treasures he swore never to breath fire again. He learned to shapeshift and spent some time talking to various humans. He got rid of his dragony name and choose a more human one. Thus he became Damien. One day however he picked the wrong castle to plunder. As he neared its towering castle walls the local magician cursed him so that he would be bound by magic not to go within 50 feet of a secluded tower in the woods. A dragon is a highly valuable commodity, if you can get it to be on your side that is. The first couple months the captured dragon spent sulking, in pity the queen lent him some books and commissioned a rather large pipe for him. When she learned the beast had bad eyes she had glasses made for him. And thus the dragon grew content to idle outside the tower and guard whatever may be inside. Mostly just gold and various other treasures until one day the guards brought a girl.
Hoard: He hoards books, he will do almost anything to obtain more

Eats: He hunts wild animals and refuses to steal from humans. If he wounds without killing an animal without killing it he will not stop chasing it until he has caught them not wanting to leave any being to suffer.

Peony is a princess, and holds herself as if she
were. Though she's not much for being formal and
going to balls and fancy dinners. She's social not too
good in large crowds. She prefers to be with one or two
special people that cares about her or a book. She can
be a bit shy, and shyness may be taken as stuck up,
but really Peony has a heart of gold, with lots
of love to give. If only she could find some one to love
her though. Being clingy is another trait of hers, she
loves to cuddle and doesn't know when to let go,
and is scared to let go of someone she cares about.
She has never had much self confidence, because
she always had heard people awe about her brother's
good looks. She's quite a stubborn little thing
and will argue the heck out you and make her
point the right one.

Her older brother will be getting the
throne, but her parents still want her
to become queen. After receiving a
note that threatened her safety, her
parents locked her in a secluded
tower. And she could also find a
brave prince to rescue her and she'd
marry him. No one has come for
Peony, and she cries her self to sleep.
She is lonely and keeps wishing there
was someone she could count on.

Scratch, scratch, went one of Peony's hair pins on the wall. The tally mark she made marked the end of month two. It was preposterous! Her parents told her that a prince would come in less than that time. She should have been rescued by now... stupid stupid parents and stupid stupid princes.

Peony drifted to the balcony of her tower, forlornly looking at what lay below her. The dragon, then the forest, and unfortunately she could not make out the outline of her castle, which was... somewhere In the horizon. It was all too much for her. She lifted her chin as tears welled up in her eyes. She couldn't hold it in. She turned around and flung herself onto her bed face first. She began sniffling, then sobbing. Her body was curled up in a ball. She may have been a baby, but she didn't care, she had a great reason and there was no one to witness this even.

The dragon flicked his ears up towards the tower, the girl was crying again. She certainly did seem to do that a lot. Damien shifted, he was curled around the tower but now stood up and peered up the towering stone walls. He'd lost track of how long he'd been watching over a princess and not just treasure but it certainly seemed like quite a while. However long it had been the young lady certainly did not seem very happy. The great reptile had often wondered if she was okay... he'd never thought to ask. However now as the sun beat down on crimson scales he decided to go up and talk to the princess. Spreading his bat like wings he flew up the side of the tower, he reached the window in less than a few seconds and his massive talons scrambled for purchase on the ageing stone. He held onto the windowsill with one claw. He shifted into his human form hanging 100s of feet above ground. He pulled himself up, and, brushing his brown curls from his eyes, tapped the glass softly.
"Excuse me... my lady, are you alright?" he spoke softly not wishing to startle the princess. He cursed himself quietly for not thinking to bring a handkerchief before remembering he had none in the first place.

Peony's head darted up, and upon seeing a person, she scrambled to pull herself up into a sitting position. She lifted the corner of her blanket, and used it to dab at her eyes. Her guess was her face was red and puffy, and her nose was runny and she looked awful. And this man could be a prince for all she knew! Peony wiped her face one more time, and then stood up. With her mocha toned hands she ran them across her skirt of light pink dress with green and darker pink rose patterns. This must be a perfect moment. As she walked over to let him in, she heard him ask, '…are you alright?' She opened the glass doors that led onto the small stone balcony. "No..." she answered, sounding miserable.

"I'm sorry to hear that..." He spoke softly. "If you don't mind me asking... why do they keep you up here?" Damien looked up into the princesses slightly puffy, but still pretty, eyes. "I was only told to keep you safe..." His brown curls fell over his face and he brushed them away quickly, suddenly feeling very awkward. "Erm... I'm sorry if I bothered you...?" His eyes darted around the smallish room trying to find anywhere to look other than the lady standing before him. He was very insecure in his human form, he felt small and weak. However he was still curious as to why anyone would lock up a princess.

She shook her head, wiping her face on her sleeve. "No... you didn't bother me. I'm very lonely." She said honestly. The other statement he made confused her, and made her start to question him. He was told to keep her safe? "Oh... it's a stupid thing, that came from older times. A princess is locked in a tower for her own safety, and maybe she'll find a prince to rescue her and marry." She crossed her arms and sighed. She turned her attention to the boy in front of her. Ever so slightly she tilted her head. "You're not a prince...right? Who are you then?"

"Oh erm... no I'm not a prince" Damien mumbled awkwardly "goodness no... I'm a dragon..." he was staring at his toes, suddenly feeling very self conscious. "It-it uh It seems quite silly to lock someone up in order to meet a prince" he said quietly stumbling over his own words. The dragon started to play with the hem of his coat... why did he think it was a good idea to talk to a princess? She did say he hadn't bothered her, maybe he could keep her company. His mind was racing, was it odd it took him so long to approach her? Was it odd that he was speaking to her in the first place? Was she upset that he wasn't in fact a prince?

Her eyes dark brown eyes with gold flecks widened. "Y-you're the dragon? But as a human?" She didn't seem upset, just curious, and a bit shocked. "That's... weird." Was the only thing she could mutter out. She looked at him closely. He didn't look like he had once been a dragon. "Well it is silly, and I guess part of it is overprotectiveness as well. But it's stupid." She huffed.
