“Come on Damon! Hurry up and catch us!” Two,ofmthe friends Damon once had yelled as they ran through heaven after a day of training. Damon watched his younger self chase after them a smile plastered on his features. The simplest of times when he was still an angel, still good and pure and innocent not anymore. Never again...
He sat up with a jolt, his brow beaded with perspiration and he panted. Another dream, not a surprise they had become more and more frequent with every day. Being stuck on earth had really taken its toll on the boy. Sighing he threw his legs over the bed and hopped to the floor to grab his jacket and yank on some pants. Once dressed he grabbed a cigarette and lit it walking outside his home and down the sidewalk into the late night. No one was around as he walked down the road and through the woods to an old abandoned field far from town and far from people. He sighed and sat down looking up at the stars, puffing at his cigarette, “I bet y’all still laugh at me from all the way up there.” He muttered as he laid back watching the stars. One seemed to be moving closer, What in hells name? He sat up and tried to look but the light blinded him as he moved away behind a tree, What in the world, then the crash hit, shaking the ground and causing Damon to fall. He looked around the tree and raised a brow, “What.the.hell?”
