FNL: 5 Year Reunion (w/ velvet melodies.)

This is basically a 1x1/3x3 between JrBoy903 and velvet melodies. It was intended to be a larger group RP with others, but unfortunately more people didn't really get into the RP, so we decided to make it focused more on 6 characters between us.

It's the fall of 2017, and Preston High School's homecoming weekend is fast approaching. Despite the school not holding more than a few hundred students, the small Texas town is making their preparations for the week ahead. This means a group of alumni will be returning to their old stomping grounds to have a reunion of sorts, including those who graduated in 2012. There was meant to be a reunion held over the summer, but due to several of the classmates having other things to take care of, they postponed it to homecoming weekend. For the small town people, some have remained in town, while others have moved on from their humble upbringings. Who knows what has happened in the last 5 years, and what awaits them in their return to Preston?

Ever since D'Andre Bennett graduated from Preston, he has moved on to continue his basketball career. He attended the University of Connecticut for two years, playing for the Huskies. In his second year, the unthinkable happened. While playing that season, the team went on to win the national championship, and D'Andre was a part of this team. Not only that, he got to win as close to home as he possibly could, winning the national championship in Arlington, Texas, just over an hour away from Preston. He couldn't believe it, and he was asked to deliver the commencement speech that year, which he did on a day off when he'd otherwise be training for the NBA Draft. A few weeks later, during the NBA Draft, his name was called, as he was drafted by the Orlando Magic in the second round. Having joined the team, he started putting in the work to get his name out there. Fast forward three seasons, and Bennett is still with the team, although it's his last year under contract to the Magic, so this should be his main year to show out.

Even though he was a three-sport star at Preston High, including a teammate of D'Andre's, sports turned out to not be his calling card, as he went off to the University of Texas at San Antonio. Here, he majored in kinesiology, hoping to go into sport psychology, but he also found himself doing some writing on the side as an amateur type of thing. He started the latter as a hobby via a Facebook page, which quickly garnered several likes around campus. He typically posted about pro sports, as well as adding on things that happened in UTSA sports, and he saw this as a way to get into journalism if his original plan didn't work out. Around the time his senior year rolled around, he still consistently churned out at least one post a day on sports, whether it was at the end of the night or in the mornings before class, but he kept local professionals in his loop if he ever decided to pull the trigger on making that his career. Around this time, he also started another project by making YouTube videos with a group of friends. Jermaine himself had been the star in quite a few of these videos as well, so he found himself being pulled in several different directions. Upon graduating, he looked at his options: put his degree to use, pull the trigger on being a full-time sports writer, or see if the video business is what's for him. Currently, he doesn't have a full-time job, but he has been writing articles all around Texas, being paid for each as the requests come in. He still operates his Facebook page, and he still does shoot videos, but he's also still holding out hope to put his degree to use as well.

Life has been a whirlwind for young Joseph. In high school, he was a football teammate of Jermaine's, but he also had a low-key music career he was also working on. During his senior year, after the football season ended, Joseph decided to drop a surprise project that he and one of his friends were working on, and it turned out to be a medley of songs from Drake's then-latest album, Take Care. It turned out to be a massive hit on YouTube, blowing up even beyond Preston. He figured if football wasn't in the works for him, he could give music a try. Throughout the end of his senior year, he started work on what would be his first project, My Life. This mixtape wound up being released on his 19th birthday, a few months after they graduated. It included the single he's most known for, "Ride". After this, he started a weekly YouTube series every Sunday night, in which he'd drop a cover of a song he'd perform, which is what he has been known for in his short career. Along the way, he opened up for MGK at one point, before being signed by Republic Records. The next year, his self-titled debut dropped, which featured "Ride", along with other songs his fans know and love. A year after that, his next project was released, which was My Life II. He continued doing covers to keep his fans happy and went on a few tours to promote his projects. Fast forward to 2017 and his second album dropped, entitled The Answers. After going on yet another tour to promote this album, he went back into the studio for his next project, which was the third edition of the My Life series. It has recently been released and a tour has yet to be announced regarding this project, but for now, Joseph is taking time for himself and spending it with his daughter, Finley.

If she gets frustrated, she will get agitated and may snap, but quickly recovers from it. But she's a nightmare when angered, if you manage to anger her. One thing I should also point out is that when she gets heartbroken or really depressed, she sticks to her music in an unhealthy way. A few people think she's a goody two-shoes, but she's not at all. She has flaws, and doesn't deny it.

Luciana Melody Prior was born in Lubbock, Texas, on a cool summer night. She was born the younger of her sister Charlotte, mainly known as Lottie. Besides all this, she grew up decent. Although she wasn't popular growing up, she was happy. She wasn't booming with friends from everywhere, but had many acquaintances, considering she was naturally social. However, a part of her felt different from everyone else. Not because of her former case of ADHD, but she never felt like she could fit into just one group. Autumn Hazel Everdeen was born on May 16th, a cool spring day. Her mother almost died giving birth to her, but when she survived, it was a miracle for everyone. Growing up with her mom, dad and sister, Autumn was never like the other kids. Instead of going out and playing in the yard or on their gameboy, she'd rather stay by herself and do various things- listen to music, read a book, or sorts. That's just the way she is, she was never good with people. But as the years went by, she became a little more free with her actions. She started to exercise and play sports, and that's what led her to being fit and muscled today. She hopes to one day be able to use it. Police officer, or soldier maybe? Possibly.

D'Andre

It was late September, and for D'Andre Bennett, that meant his basketball season with the Orlando Magic would be starting soon. As for this morning however, he was in New York City. He was taking a flight from there back home to Texas, since homecoming week was upon them. He had received an invite to attend a reunion with his classmates over the summer, but he couldn't make it, as he was part of a basketball camp in Jacksonville that summer. He couldn't wait to see everyone he graduated with and see how much has changed since then.

Once he heard his flight number being announced over the intercom system, he grabbed his bags and started to head for the gate. Being 6'8, D'Andre stuck out to most on the flight. He finally got to board the plane and made his way to first class and sat down and waited for the flight to start.

Jermaine

As for Jermaine Hines, after graduation he moved to the Houston area. However, due to Hurricane Harvey that struck the area earlier that year, he had moved back to Preston for the time being. He was honestly kind of glad, too. He missed home. Even though he knew this was temporary, he liked the feeling of being back in town after spending the last 5 years across the state.

Jermaine sat on the front porch of his parents' house, sipping on a glass of lemonade and watched as some kids from school were getting on the school bus that ran by his house. He remembers when that was him back in the day. Those were the days. Once he was done with his glass, he walked back inside and up to his old room, which his parents still used as a guest room. He opened up his laptop and went to start typing up a new Facebook post, which was somewhat of a preview of the NFL game being played that night. Though technically unemployed at the moment, Jermaine still found ways to make money here and there, having saved up what he could when he was working in San Antonio throughout college.

Joseph

Home. Joseph Somers had this thought run through his head as he boarded a flight from LA to Dallas. Joseph actually lived in Dallas, but he was in LA to do a guest spot on a song with someone on his label. Just a few weeks before, he had released his third mixtape, My Life III. Now, he got a chance to go back home to Preston for the first time in a while. Even during holidays, his family would come to Dallas to visit him instead of it being the other way around. He thought it'd be nice to return to Preston for once.

Joseph had just boarded his own flight to Dallas and also sat in first class. Along the way, he saw a few people, mostly fangirls, had taken pictures of him as he made his way to first class and once he got there, he found his seat and sat down, waiting for takeoff as well.

After a few months of non-stop touring and practicing for NXT, Lottie finally has a break. It was late September, and she has a long while before she officially makes it onto the WWE Raw roster as the long lost Sister Abigail, a girl Bray Wyatt practically worships. She was excited about debuting on there. However, what was less exciting is that she disappeared in her last match, and now, no one knows where she is. Not even the public. So now, she constantly has to hide her face in public. Instead of a plane, her younger sister Lucy is coming to get her. They were going to a reunion taking place back in Preston. Luckily, they weren't too far, she was staying in Dallas, and it wasn't too far from the town they grew up in. She stayed in the hotel room she was in, until Lucy came onto the driveway. When she pulled up, Lottie wrapped the scarf around her neck, put the sunglasses over her eyes, and got her stuff, leaving the hotel room.

As Lucy drove down the road, all she could think about is finally going home after touring worldwide with her band. Over the last five years, her band The Wild Cards got success in the rock/pop genre, and they've been more successful now then ever. She's never been happier with music, being the lead singer of a band was always her dream, regardless of them being famous or not. But now, it's time for a break from it. Now she was off to a reunion back in her hometown, and they would be seeing familiar faces and greeting family, and that was exciting. They? Oh yeah, she's bringing Lottie too. Since she has to hide her face from the public, she's riding with Lucy to the place. That's where she's heading now, to pick up her sister. And pretty soon, she was there. She sent her a text to let her know she was here. Shortly, she was out putting her stuff in the trunk, and running to get inside the car and close the door. Lucy sighed to herself. "Five years.. Can you believe it?" She asked, finding it still hard to believe. Lottie closed the door behind her, and took off her sunglasses and scarf, gasping in relief. "Yeah, it is, isn't it? ... I hate scarves." She complained with her natural grumpy look on her face. Lucy smirked, and looked ahead to in front of the car. "Yep. Welcome back Lottie Lobster." She said, using her nickname that people close to them used, and backed out of the driveway to hit the road back home.

As the planes started boarding for the flight home, Autumn's leg was bouncing up and down as she sat in her assigned seat. Here she was, after five years training to be a police officer and serving the Army for a short time, she was finally coming home to her town in Preston. She hasn't been there in forever, because she was so busy trying to make a life out of protecting others. And she'll be the last to admit she's very hard on herself, with her testing her limits and doing everything for everyone else. Taking tasks, doing extra work, and all that. Now, it's a time for a long break. She isn't very happy with it, since she hates slacking off, but it was a demand from her mentor before she enters a Police Academy after her break. It will definitely be nice to go see her family and friends. As for the others, she still was unsure. Maybe so, but with her not having many friends and not being good with people, she's still being very skeptical. But who knows? It might be great. As her flight was soon boarded, she soon got her phone, put in her earbuds, and turned up the music, listening to it as the flight took off.

D'Andre

While D'Andre was on the flight, he saw a few people who recognized him come up to him and ask him for pics. He wasn't quite on the popularity level of Steph Curry or LeBron James, but he was in the league, so he knows he has at least some level of notoriety, even outside of Orlando. Since he doesn't want to be known as the egotistical type of player who's too good to acknowledge fans, he agreed and took pics, signed autographs for them, sat back and talked with them before the flight took off. He then continued once the flight was in the air.

Jermaine

Jermaine looked outside and noticed how the scenery was definitely starting to turn into fall. He figured now was as good a time to start getting in a little bit of a workout while the weather still felt good. He got up off his bed and walked over to his closet, picking out a set of workout clothes to change into. Today felt like a Reebok day, so he got dressed in his Reebok clothes and went downstairs to get a bottle of water. Opening it, he drank it and grabbed another for the run itself. He then stepped outside, putting his earbuds in and picked out a song to listen to while he ran.

Joseph

Joseph looked out the window and heard all the instructions for takeoff, then put his earbuds in after they were done talking. He then started playing a song on his phone before leaning back. He felt like a few more hours of sleep, although it was morning time and he hadn't gotten as much sleep the night before as he would have liked. He figured someone would come by and wake him up by the time they reached Texas.
