🐞 onexone with ember1989 🐱

paris' favorite superheros are back at it again. hawk moth seems to get stronger and stronger and has been sending more akumas out to try to get ladybug and chat noir's miraculous. will the two superheros be enough or does paris need more to help with all the attacks?

🐾🐱 adrien had always been known to run late for school lately due to his duties as chat noir; but this time was a little bit different. after he had finished off fighting an akuma with his partner - the one and only lovely ladybug - he had ended up a bit more scraped up than he had thought. thus, he knew this would raise any and all kinds of suspicion if he showed up to school with some wounds. so he had decided to skip out on school today and head home, pretending to be sick. but, instead he had accidentally ran into marinette and his eyes widened in a bit of nervousness. "hello marinette!" he spoke softly as he rubbed the back of his neck. he had gotten pretty beat up from the fight earlier and he hoped that, well, she didn't notice. though, he was sure that she would in the end. as he shifted a bit, flashing a soft smile he waved at her and faked a small cough to try and seem sick, "i was just heading home, i seem to have gotten a bit ill and i'd hate to pass it on to anyone. will you help me with my school work? it would mean a lot to me to be able to have someone bring it to me and all." he nodded softly and flashed a smile at her. he was sure that his fellow friend would help him out and he would be very thankful to her for that.

“Oh! Hi Adrien. Sure I’ll help!” Marinette smiled. How could she say no to the boy she liked? Then again she also liked Chat Noir. She at least hoped he had gone home since he seemed hurt. But so did Adrien. “You go home and rest up. I’ll come by later.” She added. Im not worried about getting sick. If Adrien asks for my help I’m more than happy to give him a hand. She thought.

🐾🐱 flashing a wide smile at marinette he couldn't help but go to hug her for a minute but quickly pulled away from her, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. "so-sorry about that.. haha.. i guess i was just really thankful for you and what you're doing for me. thank you so much, marinette, really. it means a lot to me. i'll see you later, then. once again, thank you." he spoke softly, nodding towards her and waving at her as he slowly made his way past her and onto his way home, only to have plagg quickly coming out of his bag as he had passed and made his way onwards, complaining to adrien about how he should just talk to her. sighing, adrien just shook his head and looked to plagg with a slightly annoyed look, saying that marinette was just a friend and wouldn't be into him anyways.

“He hugged me, Tikki. Adrien just hugged me. I’m so happy!” Marinette told her Kwami. Tikki popped her head out of Marinette’s bag and smiled as she told Marinette she better hurry to class before she was late. Tikki even told Marinette she should tell Adrien her true feelings. Marinette sighed, saying Adrien was her friend, and he probably wouldn’t be into her anyways.

🐾🐱 faking a few more coughs, adrien did his best to seem sick so that marinette wouldn't question him as he walked on home. sighing, he looked back towards her as she made her way towards school. he was lucky to have a friend like her.
yeah, a friend. as he slowly walked onwards to his home he slowly walked in, only to be greeted by asking what was wrong and why wasn't he at school. he explained that he had gotten sick at school and thought it was best to go home and relax and not put himself under too much stress. as he made his way up to his room he stopped and said that he would be expecting a friend over later to drop off school work and help him with said work. as he went up to his room he just flopped down on his bed with a groan and ran a hand through his hair. great. he was sure these bruises and cuts would last longer than he had wanted or needed them too. he stood and went to go check in on them in the bathroom and tensed up as he saw how bad they were. okay, he was going to be a bit sore for the next few days.

as he made his way back towards his bed he just groaned and sat down, curling up for a moment on his bed. he was laying there without his shirt on, trying to figure out if he could take care of the bruises so no one would question anything. meanwhile, plagg was complaining about a few things but he had stopped when he noticed adrien seemed.. off. he asked if anything was wrong and adrien just sighed, "everythings fine, plagg, i just thought that well.. everything would go away after i de-transformed. i thought i would feel better and wouldnt be.. like this. i wouldn't be in pain or anything. i haven't gotten this hurt before. its not fun." he groaned out and looked slightly annoyed but he really wasn't. he then closed his eyes and let out a loud sigh, groaning a bit in pain but relaxed as much as he could. perhaps a nap could and would help.

After class was over for the day, Marinette packed up her things, as well as a copy of notes she took during class for Adrien. Tikki chuckled at the girl’s joy to pay him a visit. “What a day. Well, we better go see Adrien.” Marinette grinned as she ran out of the school but slowed down once outside. She then started walking to Adrien’s house. It took her about fifteen minutes before she arrived and knocked on the door.

🐾🐱 after adrien had waken up from his little nap he looked at the time and almost panicked. school was over. marinette could be waiting on him downstairs. oh no. he couldn't be late to meet with his friend who was to help him with schoolwork! As he stiffly stood up he let out a small grunt in pain because he was extremely sore and feeling all of it from the fight earlier. as he slowly made his way down the stairs to the front door he paused as he heard a knock on the door and went to anser it with a soft smile. "hello, marinette!" he nodded at her and motioned for her to come in.

“Hello, Adrien. Are you feeling any better?Marinette asked. “ I also took notes for you in class, so you don’t have to worry about getting caught up or taking notes yourself.” She added. Marinette also noticed Adrien didn’t look sick. He looked beat up. Maybe he fell out of bed, quit being nosy, Marinette! she thought. “I saw the akuma attack on tv. It looked like Chat got hurt bad. I just hope Ladybug can handle things until he’s better. Anyway I came to help you with your school work.” She blushed. Tikki resisted the urge to scream at Marinette that she came to study, not chat. The Kwami remained quiet in Marinette’s bag.

🐾🐱 "yeah, i'm feeling a bit better, thanks for asking." adrien replied with a very soft and shy smile as he motioned marinette inside and closed the door behind her. he did his best to try and not show how stiff and in pain he was. his eyes lit up as she mentioned that she had taken notes for him. why was she so sweet and caring?he was so thankful to have a friend like her. "really? you really didn't have to do that, marinette, really. thank you so much." he responded and began to walk her up to his room, smiling over at her. he did his best not to wince at how much of his body ached. "really? im sure ladybug can handle it; she's really amazing, don't you think?" he nodded and carefully looked over marinette for a moment, his cheeks getting a bit red as he quickly looked away, chewing on the inside of his cheek. "yeah, i want to thank you for that. lets go ahead and get started in my room." he spoke softly, opening his door for marinette to walk into his room and he sat down on the couch by the coffee table and looked over at her with a soft smile and motioned for her to sit next to him. "so, did i miss anything too exciting today?" he asked with a soft grin.
