[where] home [mood] split/dazed [tagged] jahseh [doing] contemplating a kiss
jackie understood what it meant to not get a good nights sleep. she could be on two ends of the spectrum, an early bird or an night owl, and some nights she'd stay up until 7 am and sleep the whole day. that was when she got in her depressive ruts, which she thankfully hadn't had in a couple of months. she had battled with subtle depression her whole life, but never on the scale of jahseh's. she nodded understandingly when he admitted he couldn't promise anything about getting into another fight, but hopeuflly today would be laid back and fun. some time together at the new amusement park and the studio would mellow them out. as her fingers fluttered over his healing cuts, she noticed him close his eyes under her touch. she knew the feeling well. she had a nanny when she was 6 up until 12 who had become like a mother figure to her. whenever she would have a bad dream or bad day, jackie could always curl up in her lap and jessica would run her fingers through her hair until she fell asleep. as his eyes opened again, she looked into them. they were a beautiful rich chestnut color. his hand suddenly tucked a piece of hair that had fallen in her face behind her ear and his touch sent shivers down his spine. she suddenly realized their proximity, only a foot away from eachother. it was like one of those cliche movie scenes where the two main characters who have obvious chemistry look like they are about to kiss, but instead jah looked away, asking when her father would be back. one side of her understood where he was coming from, they had only known each other for three days, but another side of her longed to be in his arms. "uh, he'll be back.. sometime tomorrow," she said, as they got out of the moment. she walked over to the kitchen counter and grabbed her purse and bag, sliding it onto her shoulder. "ready to go?" she asked, tossing him her keys. "i have no clue where this place is, so you're gonna have to drive," she said. she was picky about the people who drove her key, but she trusted him.
