the world before he had his accident. Everyone knows that Brett Lawson hasn't trained another horse
since that day and it took him months to be able to ride his own faithful horse again. But she has
set her heart on Mr. Lawson helping her and her horses, will everything turn out good again?

History ➸ Scarlett comes from an average, non-horsey family, and helped out at a local barn in exchange for rides. Upon visiting an auction with her barn, she bought Sandy for the little money she had saved up. To pay for her board, she continued to help out at the barn. At a local show she was noticed and taken under the wing of the trainer of the country team for France, where she's from. Now, on her way to the Olympic stadium with her team, a drunk driver coming towards them causes the lorry to drive off the road and crash into a tree.

History ➸ Sandy had never had the same owner for long before Scarlett got her. She was thrown around, because of her impatient temperament, and no one had the courage to train her. Scarlett brought her for little-to-nothing, knowing that the mare had had a rough past. After many times of being bucked off, reared at, bitten and thrown, Scarlett was able to quiet the upset mare. Born and raised as a humble man, Brett has always been a true gentleman who takes after his long gone father, John. Like the men before him, Brett carries traits that date back hundreds of years making him just one of the many gentle, kind hearted men that have dotted from his lines. Although the majority of his positive traits arise from his family, Brett carried a trait that they had never seen before in the line of Lawson men, Brett was ambitious, fearless and wise. He loved uncertainty and follows the rule that the seed never sees the flower, meaning you never know where you life may lead and the only way to see where your path leads is to take the risk or go on the trip or have one more beer, because you never know what may happen. Brett is known as a quiet man who generally sticks to himself and is always seen with his faithful working dog following closely at his heals, saying this, Brett is an animal lover and will stand up for what he believes in.

Born and raised on a cattle station, Brett has spent his whole life on the back of horse and working the mob, hence why he chose to, when moving over seas, choose something he knew very well. It was known that even from a young age that Brett had a good hand with horses and he had some sort of ability to read an animal in mere seconds, it was as if he knew exactly what was wrong the second he met the animal, like the second he rubbed his hand down that horses neck the horse was with him. At the age of eight devastation had taken over his life, his parents divorced and he and his siblings had to choose who they wanted to live with. This split up the three siblings, two stayed with their father on the station but the eldest, Daniel chose to go with his mother, to keep her strong until she found her own feet again. At the age of nine, his mother had fallen pregnant with Joe and of course chose to marry the man who was the father. Brett barely visited his mother, refusing to be in the same house as Chris Henrik for too long and hasn't seen her since he was fifteen, when his father died of a heart attack and she didn't show up at the funeral. Skip three years ahead, Brett moved to the UK to peruse his dream but as we all know, that didn't go to plan.

The young woman sat silently in the lorry next to the driving coach, as the car sped along through the green country. They were pretty far away from where they were supposed to be, but the mare in the back was going ballistic. Scarlett stared outside, watching droplets of rain running down the window as they passed a few farms in between many fields. A large squeal was heard from the back, followed by a kick on the side of the lorry, making it shake ever-so-slightly. Scarlett couldn't relax. She was as stiff as a statue, digging her nails into the palms of her hands.

The lorry drove off the main road down a fairly narrow. Normally Scarlett would be excited to see a new ranch, but today she didn’t care. Her coach, who was driving the lorry, had gotten the name and address of a horse trainer who could hopefully help. The rest of the team had stayed behind with the other horses, who weren’t as badly damaged, and managed to escape with a few scars. A local farm had offered to help and board them, until another lorry could come and transport them to the final location where the Olympics were held.

“Well, let’s see if we can find this horse trainer,” Coach smiled slightly at Scarlett, who just stared out the window as the lorry stopped. They got out and looked around the quiet ranch. Not a person was in sight, but Scarlett noticed a few horses grazing in a nearby paddock.

DYLAN TARMAN

Dylan walked outside of the main house, allowing the screen door to slam shut behind him and he bit into his apple, watching the lorry pull down the driveway and come to a halt in the empty parking lot. Slowly the blonde haired twenty-five year old man started walking down the stairs and out towards the gravel covered parking lot "I wonder who these people are." he muttered to himself quickly, judging the nature of the visit before he had even met the people inside the vehicle. What was the problem? They looked rich. Had one of the horses got out and managed to get into a neighbouring farm? Was this them bringing back the unknown missing equine? Confused by the arrival of the rather fancy vehicle, the young man slowed his walking pace making sure that it wasn't anyone he knew before standing a good ten meters away from the lorry.

Today had been a relaxing day in the eyes of young Brett Lawson, nothing too drastic had happened and the handful of cows who had recently calved were looking good. He rode at a walk, keeping a close eye on the fifteen year old working dog that refused to stay home "Digger mate, I should really stop bringing you out here." he apologised softly as he watched the old dog begin to pant heavily. There was no shortage of free time during this time of year and Brett was the sort to take advantage of this, he found it rather relaxing to ride in the rain, it made everything seem so much more peaceful that it was on any other given day. It was nice to take time to himself, to relax on his own but little did he know that a whole new situation was being brewed up at the place he called home.

Noticing the young man coming towards them, Scarlett stared down at the ground, letting her coach do the communicating.
“Hello, I’m sorry to bother you, Sir. You see, an accident happened further down the road. We have a horse who’s completely traumatised in the back-“ Coach was cut off by a whinny from the lorry as well as a few massive bangs from kicks against the side, causing it to shake ever so slightly.
Once the loud sounds paused slightly, Coach continued to speak, “We were recommended to come here by a local farmer in search of a man named Brett Lawson. Is that you, Sir?”

Scarlett didn’t move an inch. She was torn on the inside; after the accident, she had tried her best to calm her mare herself, who had responded by lashing out at her. It was like Sandy didn’t recognise her owner anymore, which, even though she didn’t show it much, it hurt Scarlett inside, to think that the trust they had built up could be broken in one accident.

DYLAN TARMAN

Shaking his head, Dylan let out a slightly irritated sigh when he learned that after an accident a local farmer suggested Brett as someone who could help. Everyone knew that Brett refused to work with horses anymore, it was now his first priority to find out who had suggested his best friend in the first place, turning his attention back to the girl he shook his head again "I'm sorry, I'm a friend of Brett's but he doesn't work with horses anymore." he paused for a minute, glancing over to the far paddock to see his friend heading towards the gate "You see, Brett had a bad accident a couple of years ago and it took months to convince him to get back on his own horse let alone work with anyone elses." he explained, suppressing the slight panic that had began to overcome him when the image of his friend drew closer and closer.

Everything had been fine until be spotted the lorry parked out the front of the stable, nobody came here unless they were a new hand or were lost, nobody had been here with a horse since the accident and he hoped that his person wasn't after him. Silently the young man dismounted in the green field that bordered the driveway "Digger, here." he called to the dog as he made an attempt to dart, well stagger towards the new arrivals whilst Brett himself opened the gate. With caution, the young man slowly made his way towards the small group of people, the limp had become barely visible but still he refused to let it show "Dylan." he stated as he walked closer "I didn't know we were having visitors." he added as he stood a good ten meters to the left with his horse on one side and the half blind dog laying down on the other.

“Alright, I see,” Coach continued to show a friendly smile to the man. Turning around, she saw the other man walk up on the side of the lorry and stop. “You may want to be careful if your horse is sensitive, Sir,” Coach said, a hint of warning in her voice. As to prove the point, Sandy started making a racket yet again in the lorry. The sound of a traumatised horse, whinnying and kicking, could be heard clearly for miles. Scarlett, who had stayed quiet until now, looked back at the lorry with tears threatening to appear in her eyes. "We have to get her out!" A panic rose in her voice. Coach held onto her arm to stop her from going to open the lorry. "Don't, Scarlett. It seems it was a mistake to come here. Let’s get back into the lorry. I apologise for bothering you both,” A calm tone was heard in her voice. Scarlett refused to calm down, and wriggled to get free of her coach’s tight grip. “She’ll kill herself if she keeps kicking like that! At least let her out!” The coach looked Scarlett firmly in the eye. "Get in the lorry. Now. We're leaving. We'll find somewhere else to take her."

BRETT LAWSON

Brett stood quietly, allowing the two strangers to figure it out before putting his in his own opinion "Back it up to the round pen." he stated, he wasn't willing to help but there was nothing more dangerous that trailering a panicked horse and he would hate himself it something were to happen. Without a response, the young man led his own horse to the round pen and rested one rein across the rail as the gelding would think he was tied up "Digger stay." he commanded to the old dog as he himself headed to the round pen gate, unhooked the latch and pulled the heavy gate around. They had designed the pen so that the animal inside couldn't see outside, often creating a sense of calmness for the animal without distraction away from the human lunging or working with them.

Once he had the gate open, Brett waiting for the pair of ladies to back the lorry into the entrance of the large pen. He stood on the inside and was prepared to let the horse out, knowing that there was a chance that a panicked owner might get in the way of the traumatised equine, possibly injuring either horse or rider if the buckskin decided to dart from the back of the trailer.

Coach let go of Scarlett, and nodded, before getting into the lorry. She started the big vehicle, and drove forward, before turning the back towards the pen. She relied on Scarlett, who guided her in which way to turn, as to get the lorry as straight as possible. Scarlett did her best to ignore the sounds coming from inside the trailer. Normally, she knew the mare would calm down if she went in the side door, but in this case, she didn’t dare as Sandy had turned unpredictable. Once the lorry was in place, Coach opened the back, and Scarlett removed the bar quickly. The wild mare had snapped the rope, and Scarlett just managed to step out of the way when the buckskin came flying out the the back of the lorry. The mare only had a few cuts, but was damaged much more mentally. She had a few red stains from dried blood; no one had been able to approach her to clean them. Scarlett closed the lorry, and watched as Coach drove it a few meters forward. The mare, who was cantering as fast as possible in the round pen, had noticed the opening of the gate where Scarlett was standing. With her ears pinned back against her neck, she charged towards the opening.
