Flint was on his way to the dinning hall with his book in hand, ready for his morning cup of tea when he spotted someone walking the halls. "Cyrus?" he asked unsure if himself. When he got closer to the man he looked him up and down. "By the celestials above, what did you do this time?"

Grabbing Flint's shoulders he looked him in the eyes. "Somewhere private," he said in a strained voice, steering him down the hall. When he found a secluded enough place he looked at Flint, feeling sick. "I kissed Valentine last night," he let out. "She found me and for some reason I agreed to walk with her, but then she started talking," he said, pushing his hair back nervously. "She started talking about how she felt, and I was getting antsy, and it escalated before I could stop myself and I might have implied things and told her to figure out what she wanted. I really messed up and I don't know what to do."

Flint pinched the bridge of his nose, "At least I don't have to tell you that you messed up. Cyrus, she's an engaged woman, she's getting ready to become a queen. What did she say that made you feel like you needed to kiss her?"

"She was talking like she was confused about what she wants Flint, so when she was talking about still feeling things for me I think I really got carried away," he said, uncharacteristically turning red. "I have been trying to avoid her but even in the brief times I have to be around her it is hard. I catch her looking at me, and something in my head becomes more foolish than it already is."

Flint put his hands together in disbelief, closing his eyes, trying to comprehend. "And what did you say in response, before jumping straight in and kissing her?"

Cyrus looked at Flint miserably. "I told her I wanted to give her everything. I think I really meant it too. I miss her, and it is agonizing to be here and to be away from her. It hurts to not be with her. She had to go and profess her doubts and I lost it.”

Flint sighed, crossing his arms, "It sounds like both of you have your minds clouded by your feelings for one another. Cyrus, what happens if she leaves Gawain and decides to go for you? Are you going to give her everything like you said you would, or are you going to deny her in fears of hurting her again? Now that feelings have been confessed, you both really need to look at the consequences of acting on your feelings."

Cyrus groaned. "It wasn't like this was intentional. I never meant or planned for this to happen. In fact, I tried to go out of my way to make sure I didn't do something like this. I don't know what I am going to do. I know plenty of good cliffs that are appealing," he said irritably. "I want to be with her. I think that of all things has been pretty clear for months. But this isn't fair to her, or to Gawain, or anyone for that matter."

"Cyrus, I know this wasn't intentional, but it happened and now you must deal with it. Since you both have expressed feelings for one another, I think you need to sit down and have another conversation with her. Have someone else go with you to make sure you don't do something stupid again. You two need to set up boundaries. Now that she knows you still have feelings and you know she does too, it will be even harder to be around her and vice versa. As of right now she is with someone else, and you both need to respect that. Like you said, it's not fair to Valentine or Gawain, or even yourself that this happened. In my opinion Valentine was a fool for seeking you out alone, so she is just as much at fault here. You both need to figure out what is going on and what you are going to do about it."
