Maria nodded in agreement. She licked her paws for a moment. "Do you know why we're here?" she asked.

Henry jumped as he heard thunder overhead. "We gotta hide!" he winced. Alessa looked to Henry and sighed quietly.

Alexis glanced at Maria before shaking her head a little,"I'm afraid that I don't." She replied.

Tucker looked up after he stopped digging before looking at Henry,"It's just a bit of a rain." He said.

[Boomer]

"That sucks." muttered Maria, "I was hoping someone would know." She heard two of the men coming in and growled as they neared her cage. They tried to look at the pups, but Maria snapped at them.

"Just a bit of rain?!" echoed Henry, "You sir, are wrong!" He hightailed it into the woods with Alessa following after him.

Alexis watched the humans for a minute before she slightly rolled onto her side with a couple whimpers before slightly panting, her large belly heaving up and down.

The golden retriever brothers looked at each other before starting to follow them,"Henry, where are you going?" Tucker asked.

[Boomer]

They turned their attention away from Maria when they noticed Alexis. They walked over to her cage and watched her.

"I'm hiding out!" barked Henry, zigzagging through the trees. He found a den that appeared to have been made by the humans. He didn't fully trust it, but he wanted to hide. He laid down in the den and curled up. Alessa followed him inside.

Alexis laid there panting before she couldn't take it anymore. The pain just suddenly started, but she couldn't possibly be going into labour now, could she? She knew she looked large right now, almost ready to pop even, but she was also sure that these pups weren't to be born for a little less than two weeks still. The border collie shivered as she forced herself up to her paws before slightly pacing the kennel as she panted. Oh, how she wished Mark was here right now!

Tucker and Mark slowly followed them in,"From the storm?" Mark asked as Tucker sat down.

Maria looked over to watch Alexis. She was quiet the entire time, while the men made sure Alexis didn't need to have a c-section like her roommate.

Henry bobbled his head as he shook a bit. Alessa laid close to him.

Alexis whined a bit between her pantings as she paced a bit longer before laying back down as the pacing took up a bit of energy. She whined as her tail flickered a bit before her claws dug into the cage ground as she snapped her jaws onto the cage bars, clearly in pain,'Nothing feels right with the pups, and it's too early!' She panicked to her thoughts.

Mark and Tucker nodded slightly before they both laid down.

[Boomer]

"It'll get easier, I'm sure..." said Maria quietly. The men backed off when Alexis snapped at the bars.

Alexis twitched her ear at Maria's comments,"It doesn't feel easier, and it's too soon!" She whined after she left go of the bars, panting heavily.
