xxxxxA short huff came out of Peter's mouth as he walked the tile floors of his high school. Tons of students were all around him, and this was the normal when the last bell of the day rang. He steered his way through the crowd and to his locker. It was a long day, not necessarily bad and not necessarily good, just long and a bit boring. The bell had rang, school was over! And he had decided to stand in the middle of the hallway like an absolute idiot. "Hm-sorry," he mumbled and rushed back to his locker, stuffing all that he could in his backpack. Before he could even sling the backpack over his shoulder a quiet buzz came from his pocket. It was an alert for some robbery happening on a street not too far from school. It was time for him to do his job that he didn't get paid for! Peter rushed out of the school, avoiding being trampled by any other students. Now all he needed was an alley.
xxxxxHe had found his normal spot, a place filled with trashcans and probably a family of rats. The brunette rushed to get his suit on and toppled a trashcan behind him in the process. Even though he had been doing this for a little more than a year, he couldn't help but get excited and jittery over it. He was only getting better in the process and it made his ambition grow. Only a month or two ago had he completely gotten used to his suit, or at least he thought he had. Mr. Stark made an effort to put anything that came to the boy's mind in there. And once he was done getting his suit on he slapped the iconic logo on his chest, without a moment to waste he ran out of the alley and towards the small bank about a few blocks away. "So, Karen, how many am I going to fight?" In which Karen responded with only two and they both held guns and some sort of explosive device. This was going to be an easy one for him, and adrenaline rushed through him as he thought about all the ways he could take them down. Peter yelled in excitement as he swung from building to building. He suddenly stopped, only a rooftop away from the building. His gaze turned to inside the bank, he could see people on the floor.
xxxxx"Hostages?"
xxxxx"Three."
xxxxx"Alright.."

Syd had made a bolt for the door the moment school was over, backpack slung over one shoulder and her digital camera hanging around her neck. It was just her small one- the one she brought with her everywhere. Her more advanced one, that she used mainly for prearranged photoshoots and the like, stayed at home where it was safe. Her friend Dixie struggled to keep up as the girl trotted down the steps leading out of the school, sneakers padding against the concrete. The two began to talk about the photography competition that was now only a week and a half away- there was no set theme, but Syd was determined to get a shot of Queens' very own Spider-Man for her entry.
"I assume you haven't found anything yet, then?" Dixie asked, nearly out of breath as the two continued down the sidewalk. Syd barely turned to address her friend as she replied, eyes roving the city around them.
"Nope. But I'll get one, just you wait."
The other girl groaned, used to her determination by now. Perhaps a downside to Sydney's vigor was her pride- if she failed to get a photo of Spider-Man, she likely wouldn't enter the competition at all. Barely listening to her friend, the blonde nodded along with her request to stop by at the bank first- something about an errand she'd promised her dad she'd do after school. The two turned the corner to the local bank, Dixie grumbling about chores and doing everything for her father while Syd was still only half-listening. The two failed to see what was going on in the building until the door rang their entrance, Sydney's eyes widening at the sight of two armed men and three others, kneeling in front of them on the floor. Not hesitating a moment, one of them turned his gun to the two, barking an order. Complying, Syd slowly raised her hands to shoulder height, itching to grab her camera. If Spider-Man showed up, she wanted to be able to get a picture- and currently, her excitement was working to quench the terror she should be feeling with a gun barrel pointed at her face.

xxxxxNow it was five hostages, one held at gunpoint. Easy fix, all he had to do was get rid of the gun first, though Peter still couldn't help but get nervous. They both were his classmates, right? He didn't have time to think about every single fact. Right now, all he depended on was his instinct. From the close distance his homemade web shooting did its job and easily shot the gun out of the man's hand. He swung in right after, saying a pointless one-liner, something he may or not spend his restless nights thinking of.
xxxxx"Anybody holding out for a hero 'til the end of the night?"
xxxxxPeter then trapped the robber with his webs, only to see the other felon holding the explosive device. He supposed it was what Karen warned him about. It looked odd, almost like a children's toy, but Karen couldn't be wrong with something like this. Pete held up his hands as if a cop was about to arrest him, but it wasn't to show that he was surrendering, it was in more of a comedic way. Then his left hand lowered, shooting webs out of its wrist and placing the bomb into the boy's hand. The brunette under the mask examined it for a second, although there was nothing special about it except loose wires and its false identity of a toy. Suddenly the robber came barreling towards him, yelling garbled words as he did so. Peter stopped him by grabbing his wrists and pushing him backwards, also trapping him to the wall with his webs. He glanced at the civilians after the small scene. Maybe the high school student was getting too used to the job, instances like these barely bothered him anymore. The people all looked overwhelmed, which may be common for them in this type of situation. He now was fully facing them.
xxxxx"Don't worry, police will handle the rest of this."
xxxxxHe now examined the bomb once more, trying to decide on whether or not to bring it home. It could be a future problem that maybe the police can't even deal with. Peter softly nodded to himself, he would turn it in later, right now he had to figure out exactly what it is. Before he had made a quick escape the brunette heard soft sirens in the distance.

A mix of shock and elation jolted through Sydney's nervous system as a familiar person- one she'd only ever seen on tv or in the paper- appeared suddenly, taking care of the problem quicker than she had expected. Anyone who was even remotely caught up with the news could recognize the iconic webbed suit and mask. Without thinking, she reached for her camera, dashing forward to try and stop him before he left. Spider-Man was notorious for leaving the scene as soon as possible. This was her chance. Maybe she could even get him to take off the mask- though she highly doubted that.
"Wait!" She exclaimed, dashing forward and not taking heed of the men he'd apprehended. "Can I get a photo? Please?" She stared up at him, trying to discern what his features might look like under the mask. That was impossible, though. His voice sounded familiar- though she couldn't place where she'd heard it before.
