"Yes, even the ones who missed out because of the illness have trained hard to catch up," he meowed.

"Then today will be their ceremony," Rosestar hopped onto the Stone. "All cats who can catch their own prey, gather now for a clan meeting!" She called.

[Mist]

Ashleaf, Orangefur, Parsleyfur, Tansyleaf, Thymestep, Swiftfeather, Hailfall, Jaytalon, Dustcloud, Dawnlight, Thistlestripe, Hawkeye, Dapplefur, Rivermist, Ashleaf, Quickpaw, Streampaw, Blizzard, Lightning, Rain, Thunder, and Lily made their way over to Rosestar.

Stormstone and Cloudedsky joined the group. Jasper stayed near the mouth of her and Thistlestripe's den.

"I know we all grieve for the ones we've lost to this illness- but we should celebrate the lives they paved the way for. With two queens expecting kits, two kits already growing into a fighting size, and of course, our brave apprentices. Quickpaw, Patchpaw, Stormpaw, Willowpaw, Blizzard, Lightning, and Rain, step forward," Rosestar meowed, looking at the apprentices. Patchpaw looked surprised, but step forward with Stormpaw.

[Mist]

Quickpaw followed his littermates as Lightning, Rain, and Blizzard followed more slowly. "Rosestar," Lightning meowed after a moment. "My littermates and I have been talking and if it's okay we would like real Clan names."

[WinterWanderer]

"Of course," Rosestar meowed. "All of you will carry the names of true warriors. Starting with Quickpaw."

She hopped down and walked to the tom. "You carry the name of a dear friend- Quickstep was a tom who had a heart of gold, and you honor his memory perfectly. For that, your name shall be Quickfoot." She turned to Patchpaw.
"You are another cat with an honorable name- I knew little of your elder siblings mother, but I heard of her kindness and bravery. For this, you will be called Patchwing." Patchwing bowed her head before Rosestar went to Stormpaw.
"Stormpaw, you and my own son have names of dangerous weather. A storm can cause fires, floods, and tear away trees. But you aren't like that- you are more like the sunshine afterwords. For this, I give you the name Stormlight."
"Willowpaw, you used to be a shy kitten, and you've grown into a kind she-cat. You will be named Willowtail, honoring your mother," Rosestar nodded to Rubytail in the crowd.
"Now, you loners," Rosestar turned her attention. "Your origins are shaky- yes, but your hearts are true to the clan, are they not?"

[Mist]

"We haven't proven that yet?" Lightning asked as Rain nudged him. "Yes they are," the gray she-cat meowed as Blizzard nodded.

"Then by the power vested in me by StarClan, you will receive your warrior names. Lightning, bolt and hard-headed as your father," There was a small chuckle in the crowd from Waterwhisker and Lambfur. "You will be named Lightningblaze, for you are the blaze left by your father's strike."
"Rain, you are the gentle mediator of your siblings, named for Raincloud. You may have never met Brokenmuzzle, but you've heard the stories. He was an incredible cat, with his old name being Blueheart. For that, I name you in his honor, dear Rainheart."
Rosestar finally turned to Blizzard.
"Blizzard." She meowed. "Your name is that of one we would all rather forget, but you bring honor to it by making your own mark. Blizzard, I name you Blizzardflower. But do not mistake this for a name of weakness- it as name to honor your mother, and a name to honor the full blooming of your own character, your own story."

[Mist]

"But it sounds like a she-cat name," Blizzardflower muttered.

"Quickfoot! Patchwing! Stormlight! Willowtail! Blizzardflower! Lightningblaze! Rainheart!" Marshfang, Streampaw, Orangefur, Parsleyfur, Tansyleaf, Thymestep, Swiftfeather, Hailfall, Jaytalon, Dustcloud, Dawnlight, Thistlestripe, Hawkeye, Dapplefur, Rivermist, Dovesong, Ashleaf, Lily, and Fernstep yowled.
