Athena sighed, knowing that Kayden was right. She definitely didn't want to accept it though. She brushed aside some of the dense foliage as she walked in front of the other trainer, taking in the dark green, almost teal, hue of the area. She then, out of the corner of her eye, spotted a small tree with dull purple leaves and light pink berries. "A pecha tree!" She said excitedly as she ran towards the tree and quickly plucked a berry before immediately biting into it. She was careful to avoid biting down too hard, as the pit was pretty big. "You know, we should probably try and set up a quick shelter somewhere after we meet up with our pokemon, since we probably won't find our way out of here in a day." She suggested after she finished chewing.

As the fletchinder recovered from the missed attack, Prasina threw the great ball at it. It was able to dodge, but she took this opportunity to let out another Twister. This hit, and the force from the attack sent the fletchinder into a large tree and onto the ground. It was clearly low on health, yet not yet fainted. "Snivy!" She quickly shouted to Mae, encouraging him to finish off the battle.

(ajkhfakdg; sorry for the delay, I've been sick. Though that really doesn't count as an excuse since I could've come by and explained that I wasn't in the rp mood. I'm sorry about having you wait again and I'll try to more strictly follow a rp schedule to do the rps I've started here. ^^')

Walking over, Kayden raised an eyebrow at Athena's enthusiasm. Though he caved in a second later, also picking a berry and nibbling on it. He wordlessly agreed with a nod at her suggestion. "We should also bring some of these berries, too, in case we come across an unfriendly poison-type pokemon or if we get hungry when there's nothing to munch on in sight," he pointed out. As he spoke, he noticed movement from the corner of his eye. Kayden tensed and glanced over—and eventually relaxed when all he sees is a tiny tree-looking pokemon. "A Bonsly," he muttered. It was partially hidden in a shrub near the tree with something pink in its mouth. Kayden presumed it was a pecha berry. He gave Athena a hesitant glance. "It's probably friendly, right? Do you have any pokeballs with you?"

Mae nodded as he realized what Prasina wanted him to do. With a determined narrow of his eyes, he aimed a final electroweb at the fletchinder. It was still dazed from the blow of being knocked back into a tree, but managed to crack open its eyes just before the web hit it. The bird pokemon cried out as electricity visibly rippled over its body, then flopped over onto the ground. Eyes closed. Deciding that the fletchinder had fainted, Mae nearly let out a victory screech out of pure joy. Giving her a cheerful look, he hopped a few times in celebration around the snivy, "Jolt! Jolt, jolt, joltik!" He showered Prasina with compliments, then showered himself with compliments, and chattered on about their victory, not realizing that it may attract other pokemon.

Athena paused before nodding. "I have a couple normal ones in my bag." She told him before looking at the bonsly in question. She certainly wasn't interested in catching one. Although they were cute enough, the base stats were mediocre at best and the moment a grass type appeared they'd be easily fainted. Plus, in her opinion, sudowoodo's had nasty personalities. "Do you... wanna catch it?" She said, hesitating before holding out a pokeball towards him. She supposed that Kayden would be the type who wouldn't care about a pokemon's use in battle.

Prasina smiled at their victory, and even let out a little cheer, but as she quieted down herself she realized that Mae was still chattering. She quickly let out a gentle "Ssh!", putting a finger up to her mouth. She wasn't sure if they could both deal with another battle. She looked around to make sure that no more unpleasant surprises were going to show up. "Snivy?" She asked Mae quietly, wondering whether they should keep on exploring or take a break.

(thank you!! and oof, yeah I was told indirectly by another rper that it's a hectic time for people in school and even though I'm still a student I still didn't make that connection 'til recently. It's fine too if there's delays!)

He did have a greatball but it'd be too good to use for this pokemon. "Sur—" Kayden hesitated. Wouldn't it be best to save pokeballs for other pokemon? Granted, he didn't know the exact stats of a bonsly, but he did know it was called a baby pokemon. Plus the pokeballs belonged to Athena so it'd be better if she used them. This in mind, Kayden gave Athena a sheepish look. "I changed my mind, it's better to save the pokeballs."

Not a second after those words left his lips, there was a rustle beside the bonsly. An elongated figure of a pokemon emerged. A sudowoodo. Despite being shorter than both trainers, it seemed to look down on them with confusion, distrust, and anger in its eyes. Kayden's eyes widened. He didn't know what to make of its sudden appearance, but to him it seemed to be wary of him and Athena.

Mae tensed up at the sound of the snivy's 'shh', and swept his four-eyed gaze around with her. There didn't seem to be any pokemon coming at them, so he relaxed a bit again. No more cheers though. He tiled his head at Prasina's question, then said, "Joltik!" He was always eager for a break. And besides, he told her with another 'jolt!', they deserved some down time to relax after defeating a tough opponent, even if they weren't badly injured. "Jolt, joltik?" The joltik had to wonder though, where would be a good place to do that?
