[Ember1989]

Haruhi walks back to the couch and sits down. “They deserve to be happy.” She sighed with a smile, glad Tamaki and Kyoya, were talking.

Tamaki looks around and soon finds Kyoya. “Hello, Kyoya. I was hoping to talk to you. I mean I want you to know how much I love you. I’ve loved you for a very long time.” He said, closing the space between them and giving Kyoya a hug and kissed him.

HIKARU

"Yeah, they do." Kaoru gives us a big smile. "Everyone does."

"Yeah... Everyone deserves a reason to smile." I look over at Haruhi and scoot her down on the couch, sitting down. "Everyone. Especially Kyoya-senpai. I feel so bad for him, you know." I start, hand sliding through my hair.

KYOYA

"Well. That was... unexpected, Tamaki." Though I don't pull back from the hug. I honestly don't know what to do. So I just embrace it, closing my eyes and placing my head on his shoulder. "Sometimes, honestly, I'm jealous, Tamaki.... You don't know how lucky you are." I tighten my grip around him.

“Well I feel pretty happy. Nothing beats hanging out with friends.” Haruhi said.

“You ran lucky my dad is too busy for me? Lucky my mom lives so far away? Lucky my grandmother hates me? Your throne good thing in my life. Along with the Host Club.” Tamaki said, surprised he was so calm.

HIKARU

I look back over to her and Kaoru before pressing play on the movie again. Yeah. Friends.

KYOYA

"I... I didn't..." My voice is a whisper as I let a few tear slip onto his silk. "Tama, I.... I need you Tamaki. And you need me." If I don't hold him as tightly as possible, he might be taken away from me. "For years I've wondered if you really.... felt the same way. Why else would you be obsessing over Haruhi so much? And for years, I've.... hated myself because of it."

Christmas movies made Haruhi happy. So did hanging with Hikaru she grinned as she rested her head on Hikaru’s shoulder. “Christmas isn’t all about gifts it’s about being with family and friends and the people you love.” She said, looking up at Hikaru out of the corner of her eye.


“Haruhi is the only girl in the Host Club. You saw her at the beach. She’s just a friend to me and I want to keep her safe. And if I could, I’d protect you from your father. Don’t let him get to you. I’m not going to stand for him bullying someone I love. That’s you Kyoya.” Tamaki said. “Maybe we should sit down and talk with him, face to face.”

HIKARU

I look down at Haruhi with a smile before looking at the screen. Why do I feel like kissing her forehead? It's, like, reeeeallly overwhelming. I wiggle a bit when she places her head on my shoulder. So darn cute.

KYOYA

I go to kiss him when he says something about confronting my father. "I... don't think that's wise. Feyumi has already tried... he won't listen to anyone other than Akito and Yozccio." I whisper quietly.

Haruhi though about wrapping an arm around Hikaru. She really wanted to. Haruhi was just glad they weren’t under any mistletoe right now. Sure she wanted to kiss Hikaru, but in front of Kaoru? That would just make the twin jealous.

“Wow. I find it hard to believe he won’t listen to Feyumi...That’s so sad. I’m sorry I can’t do anything to help you when it comes to your father. But I’ll always be here for you.” Tamaki said as he kissed Kyoya.

I look over at Kaoru before sliding off the couch. "Anyone want anything sweet? I'm sure Honey-Senpai has packed loads of chocolate."

"No thanks!" Kaoru calls back. "Hurry up, It's my favorite part!"

KYOYA

"And that's more than I could ask for." When he kisses me, I close my eyes, having to resist the urge to smile. I love him. I do. With all my heart, more than I could ever think imaginable. If my dad only knew how happy he makes me.

“If he brought chocolate he hid it well.” Haruhi said. “I haven’t found any. Not that I like sweets.” She added.

“Don’t let your dad get in the way of a fun vacation. You deserve a vacation from him.” Tamaki said with a loving smile.
