[Ember1989]

Takami stopped playing, surprised Kyoya wanted more sleep, but guessed he needed it.

“We can go skating or have a snowball fight...” Haruhi said thoughtfully.

“A snowball fight?” Honey asked.

“Yeah. You make balls of snow and throw them at friends. It’s pretty fun.” Haruhi explained.

KAORU

I can tell my Hikaru's face that an idea is forming in his mind. "Snowball fights sound fun..."

"Why not do them both?" The room is awfully quiet when Tamaki stops playing. "Aw~ Boss, don't cry."

"Kyoya still loves you...."

A door cracks somewhere. "....Fine." Kyoya-Senpai whispers, coming out and zipping up his coat. "Tamaki, I-" He looks over to us. "He's not crying..."

"TOO LATE, YOU'RE ALREADY HERE!" Then we push him out the door.

"You're not gonna spend the whole trip reading, are you Senpai?"

"Come on, live a little!! Have fun!"

Haruhi chuckled at the twins antics. “I agree books can be fun but it’s nice to get out and have fun, Senpai.” She said as she did up her jacket.

Takami laughs so hard tears fall from his eyes. “He’s cute even when the shadow king is around.” He whispered, after calming down. He put on his jacket and boots before going out.

“Hika-chan, Kaoru-chan, you guys are always so much fun! It’s never boring with you guys around!” Honey said.

Haruhi just hoped Honey hadn’t encouraged them to do anything stupid. Not that they were. They just got carried away sometimes.

KYOYA

"HARUHI AND US, VS. YOU THREE!!" The two brothers scream, scooping Haruhi up. I stumble out into the yard, growling under my breath. My anger is enough to melt the snow.... Wait! Did Tamaki just call me cute? I turn to him, my cheeks red. From the cold or from delight, I don't know. What I do know, however, is a snowball flies into my face. "IT'S WAR!" They scream before diving behind a snow fort. When did... when did they have time to build that?

Haruhi threw a snowball right at Kyoya’s face. “This is gonna be fun!” She said, ducking behind the fort to make a snowball and throw at Takami.

“Now your in trouble!” Tamaki declared throwing two snowballs, one each for the twins.

Honey threw a snowball at Haruhi and it hit her in the face.

Haruhi laughed as she threw another snowball at Honey.

KYOYA

I stand there for a few seconds, stunned. Is this... Did I... when I hear laughing, then aprubt yelling, I know Tamaki must have gotten the twins. I turn around and Sprint for the cover of a tree, taking a few minutes to catch my breath. I look over to Tamaki, laughing and having fun. I look down at my feet before scooping some snow up before Hikaru freezes, shaking his head. "Oh no..."

"Oh yes." I smile at him before throwing it, Hikaru huffing.

"I liked it better when you didn't have fun!!"

“It’s nice to see, Kyo-chan’s fun side.” Honey said with a smile. He meant it as a fact. He wasn’t teasing at all. He then threw a snowball and Hikaru.

“Oh no you don’t!” Haruhi threw a few snowballs at Kyoya. Nobody messes with the twins. Especially not with Hikaru. she thought.

Tamaki threw a ball at Kaoru. Why were the twins so insistent with having Haruhi on the team? To make him mad? It didn’t bother him. Teams seemed like a good idea. Still Kyoya seemed distant. Was it because Haruhi almost drowned at the beach? Maybe it was something else. He shrugged, thinking it wasn’t his business when his face got full of snow. He looked and saw Haruhi laughing. Well at least she was having fun.

KYOYA

"Hey!" I laugh, backing up and shielding my face as Haruhi begins pelting me with snow. I smile and rear back to throw another one, looking wide eyed at Hikaru and Kaoru. "Don't you dare..."

"Oh. We dare!"

"Fire!"

I let out a cuss word or two before turning around and running. Snowball gun? Where did they get that?! Did they pack it?! There's an enormous pressure in my back as I'm thrown forward in a stumble. I lose my balance and tumble in the snow. I burrow myself out, glaring at the three.

"He's down!"

"Go, go, go!!"

“What’s the plan guys?” Haruhi asked. She helped the twins by packing the gun with more snow. Just in case.

“Your not gonna use that on all of us right?” Honey asked, bracing for snowballs to hit him.

“Why do I think they will?” Tamaki said, nervous as he took a step back and raised in hands in defeat.

HIKARU

When Tamaki backs up, he backs up into Kaoru, who snickers.

"Take out the leader," I throw the gun up and catch it. "And the ants scramble." I point the snowball gun at him, but before I can fire, Kyoya-senpai slams into me, pushing me into the snow. He hovers over me, glasses glinting in the light. "Shadow King, no!" I beg. He smirks before humming, offering me a hand. I stare up at him before taking it, and when I'm up on my feet, he burries a snowball in my face. "Haruhi! Get Honey and Tamaki-Senpai!" I sputter, scrambling out of Kyoya's grip.
