the sudden change in emotions wasn't exactly unexpected, but made john uneasy. "you can't do that- you can't just close up like that." he spoke as they faced each other. "later today- it wasn't very severe." john answered sherlock's question, but shifted the conversation right back to his boyfriend's mental state. "I know you're so used to locking up your emotions, but it's not safe." his care for sherlock overrode his worry for his own wound.

"I don't care." Sherlock said bluntly. He didn't care if it's not safe or if he becomes depressed or anything like that. He just wanted John to be okay. He took in a breath then let it out. His face was still blank. If john would have been hurt worse.. or even killed. He would never forgive himself. He would make it his duty to make sure Johns safe even if the cost is their relationship, or his own life.

"well, I do." john stared into his eyes, trying to read what was going on in that mind. "I can't loose you, sherlock." losing mary was so hard, he really didn't think he could cope if sherlock got himself killed.

"I'm sorry." Sherlock said honestly. "You won't loose me... you'll just..." he sighed. "If I left, you would be safer. If you stopped doing cases you would be safer. If.. we weren't Sherlock Holmes and john Watson you would be safer. Don't you get it john? You are all that matters." He said as tears rolled down his cheeks again. "As long as you are ok everything will be fine. I'm sure of it."

"sherlock holmes and john watson- that's my life, and that's what I love, and you are who I love." john spoke almost moments after sherlock did. "I would risk my life any day for you..." he let his words trail off, reaching out to brush his hand against his boyfriend's.

Sherlock in turn interlaced fingers with him. "What if this happens again?" He asked. His voice back to the dull and emotionless one. "What if this time you don't just get grazed, what if you die?" He asked. "No. I won't let that happen. I just won't. Come on. I'm gonna use Myrofts clearnence and get you out of here now." He said and suddenly turned, ready to leave. He really broke down.

john didn't have an answer for him- he was right. the probability of one of them getting killed was high, and even though john wanted to assure him it'd be okay, he didn't know that, and understood his pain. he would feel the same way if sherlock died or got hurt. he simply nodded and followed. john knew sherlock didn't need any more of his reassurance by words, just being close to him and knowing he was safe was enough.

Sherlock easily checked his boyfriend out. They took a cab back to 221B and as soon as they walked in Sherlock locked the door behind them. He then walked over and pushed the couch so it was infront of the door so nobody could get in. "There." He said. He then turned to John. "Do you need anything? Are you hungry? I can make you soup. Or that takeaway is still in the fridge."
