[Ravendarus]

Alice perked her ears and looked up, "Verus?" She said surprised, he was awake! She smiled happily, "I'm so glad your awake..." She said.

Raven looked off and sighed, back to square one... mhm this would be more trouble then she thought. They'd dock in Morrowly to regroup.

[Snowdrift]

Verus looked at Alice. “Are you hurt?” He asked. He looked back at the bandages around his shoulder and torso. He placed a hand on his side and winced. Understanding that the majority of the damages that he sustain was on his ribs and shoulder, he quickly knew that it would take some time before he would be completely able to protect Alice from the two hunters. He frowned lightly at the thought of recovering.

Jasper awoke and he grabbed his head lightly before he growled deeply. He wanted to break or kill something, anything right now.

Alice smiled meekly, "No... my head hurt a little, but not anymore." She said softly, she looked at Verus and looked at him worriedly, "I'm sorry you got hurt..." She said.

Raven noticed how Jasper was... he was hurt and very angry. She mused and told a pirate to go give his piece of meat to him, the pirate reluctantly agreed and went to see Jasper.

Verus shook his head. “Don’t be sorry. I would rather it be me than you.” He exhaled deeply then he gave Alice a small apologetic smile. “Could you get me a cup of water? I am very thirsty right now.”

When the pirate tossed Japser the meat, Jasper didn’t move. The meat hit his shoulder and fell to the floor. The pirate let out a soft, unamused grunt but as soon as he turned his back, Jasper lunged at him with a snarl and he beat the pirate far beyond a bloodily pulp. Taking one life wasn’t enough for release all of his anger and Jasper snarl as he damaged boxes and crates and who and whatever was in his way with both his claws and magic. It wasn’t until the room was completely unrecognizable, did Jasper eventually calm, eating the piece of meat while his eyes glowed.

Alice smiled, "Of course!" She said she got up and walked out to get him a drink. She smiled at the Seal, who was named Naria. She got Verus a drink before returning to him.

Raven walked down after his tantrum was finished, "Feeling Better?" She asked curiously tilting her head.

Verus took the cup and he drank thirstily then he laid back down and mumbled thoughtfully to himself. “Why am I doing this?”

Jasper let out an annoyed growl. “You couldn’t send more than one?” He snarled before he closed his eyes and when he opened the glowing was gone. “How did you escape the panther unscathed?” He asked.

Alice blinked, ".... I don't know..." She said gently. "Y-You don't have to..." She said, she was concerned that he was hurt... why was he risking his life for her?

Raven looked at him, "Because you came in and took the shot for me." She said lightly, "I was dealing with the Fox." She said thoughtfully.

Verus nod his head in agreement. “Your right, I don’t have to...but I want to.” He paused before he spoke again. “You once said, it’s a lot easier when you are not alone. I want to believe that. I want to believe that my life could be a lot easier when I am not alone but I feel like it has only gotten harder.” He exhaled deeply. “But I suppose things must first get harder before they become easier and the only way for something hard to become easy is to adapt and overcome.”

Jasper shook his head. “No. Before that. Back when we were in Barnesly.”

Alice blinked in surprise, he wanted too? "... I suppose, that's the way life works?" She asked, "A-Ah... Verus... I'm really sorry I could help. But I-I want to try and help! S-So... ah things will be easier for you." She said taking out a breath. "I hope they will leave us alone, but I don't think they w-will." She said.

"In Barnesly... it was to much circumstances. To many variables. I was fighting in the middle of the water, he was strong and if he got my wings I'd be a dead Raven." She said, "No... fighting him wasn't an option, plus you had been arrested and gods know where they would have carted you off too. I'm the assassin... your the brute force." She said. "Brute force isn't going to work against him either. We'll need another work around." She said.

Verus blinked slowly before he looked over at Alice. “Do you remember what I told you? Only you can overcome your fear. Once you do that, you would be able to make your life easier for yourself.” He closed his eyes. “Wake me when make it to port.” He growled softly as he laid down.

Jasper listened quietly. “He is an ex-military cat that has strength and doesn’t mind the water. A real panther.” He mumbled. He blinked lightly. “He may be comfortable in the water and on land, but he doesn’t have wings. You may be an assassin but you might be our best bet to taking him out.” He replayed his fight with the panther in his head. “He is open from behind when he is focused on our prey. I think I might have an idea.” He looked over at Raven. “We will have to go a little bit primitive with our strategy in order to capture our prey.”
