The radio was booming as eighteen year old Brett Lawson drove down the driveway, if you listened close enough you could hear him singing along to the smooth voice of Zac Brown Band's song Colder weather. It had been quite the drive and the rev-head had been stuck behind his father the whole way, although he wouldn't have been speeding with the horse float attached the young man would have definitely driven a lot faster than his overly cautious father. When he pulled up in the parking lot, Brett got out of his car and immediately started unloading his personal horses, the rest were on his father's gooseneck which dwarfed his small two-horse horse float.

Ally Goldman walked out from grooming her horse Sam hearing the loud music. Seeing who it was she rolled her eyes seeing who it was. About to put the saddle on Sam her father came out and told her to help the guest. She sighed and set the saddle down and walked out of the barn and up to the guest. She put on a fake smiled and said "Welcome to Straight Gate Stables. We're happy your here. Would you like some help unloading your trailers?"

Running his fingers along the dusty exterior of the float, the young man's attention was sharply turned to the arrival of a rather short blonde haired girl. From what he could gather, she worked here, or at least helped out around the barn in one way or another but still, Brett wasn't the type of man to take help from anyone if he could easily do it himself. "Thanks for the offer but I don't like people touching my horses." he replied quickly as he let himself into the float "But if you'd like to tell me where I could put my tack and feed, that'd be nice." he added, his voice carrying a rather obnoxious tone to it. In all honesty this change in tone wasn't intended but came naturally with his obviously high amount of confidence.

She nodded "you can put your tack in the tack room. There is a spot for it and there is also an empty spot for your feed. If you need anymore help just let me know"she said and smiled and turned on her heel and headed to Sam's stall. She finished tacking him up and led him out to jumping arena

Waiting until she had gone, the young man began to take his horses to their stalls, which hopefully were up to his expectation and were large enough for his boys to move around in. It didn't take him long to put the horses into their stalls and then made his way out to the utes to unpack his bags of feed, tack and extra little things such as toys and salt licks for his horses. Before now, his animals had been on pasture 24/7 and stalls had always been a temporary arrangement for drafts, rodeos or when an equine was injured. Brett had always been a reserved person for the most part, so it was only part of his nature to put in his earphones as he began putting his feed and tack in their new homes.

Ally did her safety check on Sam and soon mounted him. She gathered up her reins and along the fence she warmed him up. Once she was done warming up Sam she led him to the gate and began to canter him to the jumps. After an hour she stopped jumping and cooled him down. She got off of him and lead him to his stall and untacked him and groomed him. She then lead him out and sprayed him down with water and fly spray and took him to the pasture. She then got Kjell out to start some dressage

It had taken a good half an hour-forty five minutes for the young man to finish up and decided he would take one of his horses out for a bit of ride, just to get that little bit of energy out of them. In all honesty he though there would have been more boarders hanging around the stable but apparently everyone was busy with something other than horses, this came into observation as he began to saddle up the burnt buckskin gelding. "Okay Pharaoh, come on." he spoke softly as he led the gelding over to the empty arena, truthfully he looked out of place in such a fancy environment with his fender saddle and the barcoo bridle. By now he had put his earphones back in and was preparing to mount "Stand up." his voice was firm as he gathered his reins, slipping his inside foot into the stirrup and swinging over. "Good." the praise came without a second though as the three year old Australian Stock horse stood still for his human.
