Rick X Daryl (1x1 with Piera)

In a world filled with zombies and people willing to do whatever is needed to survive they can easily be your worse enemy but choose your company wisely and you can find yourself some protection. Even a friend or, in those rare moments, someone to spend the rest of your short life with.

When Rick Grimes and Daryl Dixon get split up from their group during an unexpected attack from the undead, survival looks bleak. But then again it's Rick Grimes, the surprising leader and former police officer and Daryl Dixon, the expert tracker, hunter and skilled bowman.

They need to rely on eachother to get though this and hopefully reunite with their group.

Rick turned and fired at a walker, one of many he had killed that day.

For a shambling corpse, they were surprisingly quiet, which was very deadly out in the woods, even more so now that the group was split. Too many came out when the group had decided to stop and scavenge a small town. Pouring out of the buildings, did someone put them there? Or did they all huddle in there to hide, before they knew how the infection spread. It didnt really matter right now, finding the rest of the group is whats important. Half ran to the vehicle, some fell to the walkers, others ran in all directions.

Rick was lucky that someone had run his way, Daryl. They picked off as many as they could before they had to retreat. Since then, they've been roaming the woods, looking for any other survivors and heading back to the safe house.

[Light Bringer]

Daryl quickly shot at another walker, one that managed to sneak up behind them, lucky he heard the crunching of the branch otherwise it would have been too late. "How you holdin' up over there, Rick?" He asked once he couldn't see anymore walkers.

Daryl walked over to the corpse and removed his arrow, wiping the blood off of it and putting it back with the others. Arrows were scarce and he needed as many as he can get although he could theoretically make his own however they wouldn't be as effective.

"We should keep moving. Your gunshot would have drawn them all here." Daryl said, beckoning Rick over. "Besides, we need to make it back to see if anyone made it back to the safe house, you know they need a leader and that's you."

[Piera]

Rick nodded. He shouldnt of wasted a bullet like that and Daryl was right, every walker will be heading their way.
"We have to move faster, we'll be easy picking at night." He nodded at Daryl and kept going, avoiding walkers all the while, praying they come across a living survivor.

They avoided the road , last Rick saw of it, it was infested with walkers from both ends. He sighed. "I hope Carl is safe." He knew he would be, Carl was a good, smart boy and he trusted his group to keep him safe.

[Light Bringer]

"I won't object to that. I don't want to be out here longer than we have to." Daryl said looking up at the sky. Great. They've only about half an hour before sunset. "I'm sure Carl is fine. Have you seen that kid? Or better yet have you seen that kid shoot? He can take care of himself."

When Daryl heard rustling leaves his first thought was walker but he soon saw that it was a squirrel. He raised his crossbow and shot it off the branch. Perfect hit. "I got us some dinner." He said to Rick, going to fetch the squirrel.

[Piera]

"I cant turn down fresh squirrel." Rick chuckled. He looked at the sky. "I dont think we'll be making it back in time. We should go as far as we can then set up a camp just before sunset. I dont wanna be running around at night."

[Light Bringer]

"Sounds like a plan. I'm starving and I'm sure you can relate." Daryl said with a smile, he walked on with Rick not saying to much but the silence between them wasn't awkward, it was just there.

[Piera]

They traveled further until sunset. "Well Daryl, the woods are your element, where should we build the shelter for the night?" Rick pondered for a bit. They should build some traps to keep the walkers at bay aswell as a shelter,

[Light Bringer]

"Up there looks like a good spot." Daryl said, pointing to an area not too low or high. "We can build a shelter there and around those trees we can wrap some fishing wire around so the walkers have a hard time getting through. If we had cans that would be the best but sadly we don't."

[Piera]

"Your right, maybe we should take shifts, one sleeps, one stays on guard. We could also make a little fence thing out logs/branches." He scanned the area for large branches.
