GONE 1x1 with Light Bringer

[Piera]

Edilio watched the field kids, occasionally looking around for anything or anyone suspicious. People walking near by that weren't workers wasn't odd but he had to be ready incase they tried something stupid, like stealing the food. Atleast the Zekes did something useful, kept the less determined people from stealing. He saw someone in the distance, couldn't tell who it was but they didn't come from the direction of town. Might be a Coates guard come groveling, he thought.

Drake had come up with a plan. A very simple one but it was the best he could do by himself. Shoot first, ask questions later. Alright, maybe it wasn't the best plan but Duck did say that Edilio, or whatever the heck his name was, was going to be sniping, might as well kill two birds with one stone. Have one less fighter to worry about and be able to take some food. He kept walking, he knew it was most likely too late to turn back. At least one of them would have already seen him and it would have looked even more suspicious.

Edilio kept his eye on the person. They'd had kids from Coates come crawling over wanting to join Sam before. Apparently, Caine was low on food. Still, if what he heard was true and Drake was in charge, this kid could be a problem, though, Edilio couldn't imagine Coates being any better with Drake in charge. Edilio kept a firm grip on his gun. Either way, he wasn't going to let them get too close.

Drake was close enough now to tell that the kid was eyeing him off. He was almost tempted to pull out his gun right now and shoot but he knew that his aim isn't good enough to hit him from that far with a hand gun. He tucked his shirt behind his gun for easier access, he didn't bother hiding it now. Drake was now close enough that he was sure Edilio could see who he was, he was going to shoot, Drake almost definitely knew it.

Edilio squinted. "No way.." he mumbled. That's Drake! Just strolling up here? No way, he's got some sick plan. Edilio wanted to alert the workers, twll them to go back to town but he didn't want to start a panic while people were near the Zekes. He calmly began telling the workers to head back and tell Sam to come to the fields. He wanted as many of them out of the way before anything went down. He kept his eyes on Drake as he got closer, his finger on the trigger.

[Light Bringer]

"Hey. It's Edilio, right? The Mexican?" Drake called out, coming to a stop. This could end peacefully on both sides if they both play their cards right, Drake highly doubted that would happen though. "I mean you and your people no harm. I've just come for some food. Now if I can just grab a couple of melons, we can both leave this without a scratch. What do you say?" He asked, looking at several of the workers that began to leave at different paces.

After they saw Drake, the remaining workers ran. Edilio glared at Drake. He was up to something, definetly. "Sorry amigo but I'm not the capitán, I can't make that deal, you're more than welcome to wait for Sam and ask him." He said snarkily, emphasising the spanish words. "What do you need melones for anyway? I thought your coyotes ate niños, I mean, kids? What do they need melons for?"

[Light Bringer]

"My coyotes only ate three of them. I've still got more people, myself included. We still need the food. And I'm not waiting for Sam. We're all starving over there, worse than you lot in Perdido beach from what I've seen. Last time I'm asking. Let me take the melons." Drake said, his voice calm but laced with annoyance. He clenched his hand into a first. Man, this kid was really getting on his nerves.

"What's in it for us? I highly doubt you'll suddenly not kill any more people and if you think trying to guilt me will work, I have one thing to ask, would you help us if the roles were reversed?" Edilio asked. He knew if it was the other way around, Drake would let them starve.

[Light Bringer]

"I have absolutely nothing to offer you. And as for the whole not killing any more people, you're right. I just want you to know this Edilio. People have to die. People are going to die. And there's nothing you can do to change that." Drake said, shifting on the spot. "If it was you, coming to me, I don't know what would do. You know why? Because people don't ask me for help. I won't let my people starve though."
