The deputy gave a nod,"I don't want to risk there being more than one and risking injury to ourselves." She didn't want one of them to get hurt so it was best to head back. "Shimmerstar will know the best way to attack it and who to send. He has the best ideas." With a wave of her tail, she turned and headed back to camp.

The tom went to Hollyheart and pulled her to the side as he placed his tail loosely around her neck. Once they were out of Sootpaw's earshot, he sat down. "I wanted to apologize for earlier. We shouldn't be fighting when we need to work together. But you have to realize how serious this all is. The rules are here for a reason and I would hate for StarClan to possibly punish you for breaking one." He gave her a concerned look. "We both took an oath and knew what we were getting to. I am only hard on you because I care about you."

"Halfpaw and Sootpaw are the only connection I have left with Dewflight....they mean the world to me." He loved his kits more than life itself and didn't care that they were apprentices. Even when they became warriors, they would still be his kits and he would protect them if he could." Pinning his ears back, he looked down at his paws.

The tom felt bad for Eaglewing and wanted to console him. He remembered how Eaglewing had played with him as a kit when he had been Eaglepaw. The other cats had gotten annoyed with him at times but the sand colored tom was the only one who never seemed to be bothered by him. It was a reason they were such good friends. "I think I am going to stay with Eaglewing for a bit to make sure he is fine. Can we do it later?" He asked but kept his gaze on his friend, wondering how he could cheer him up.

"Alright.....I guess you have a point." She reluctantly began to pad back to camp with them. She would prefer to face the fox now but knew not to argue with the deputy. "You only say that because you like him. Can deputies even have kits?" It was never really something that was addressed.

"Oh. Well I am sure she will be fine." He said, trying to offer some encouragement. "Sootpaw is stronger than she looks and she will pull through in no time. After all, she is still young and we have two medicine cats." He stood up and went over to her but stayed out of her nest. "It'll be okay.....if you ever need someone you want to talk to or anything, you can come to me. I'll never judge you."

Coughing again, she curled up in the nest when she finished the herbs. She felt rather tired and wouldn't mind getting some more sleep. She also wanted to give them some privacy as they seemed to be talking about something important if they moved away from her.

"Oh....." She felt more nervous as she kept shuffling her paws. "I can't really say how Sootpaw feels but....I like you." She kept her gaze on the ground, worried he would turn her down. After all, some cats felt uncomfortable when they saw her different colored eyes and face. Some had said it felt like they were staring at two cats fused into one. "I like you a lot."

Shimmerstar went to the warrior's den and blinked down at the tom in his nest. "Leopardflight." He said calmly, going to sit beside the tom. "You have been in an argument with your apprentice. I want you to apologize to any cat you disrespected. I am not angry at you, but I am disappointed. That is not the way to respond to anyone who annoys you. I will talk to Robinpaw now." He finished, simply leaving the den. He went over to the apprentices' den and padded inside. He felt alarmed when he saw his daughter so close to Robinpaw. What are you doing? Get away from her! What is wrong with you? Shimmerstar pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind and padded between the two. "Robinpaw, I hear you were very rude to your mentor today, and that he lashed out. Is this true?" He asked. Of course it was true, but he wanted to know Robinpaw's side of the story.

Barkfur blinked. "Okay." He said, padding away. He felt as if he had been torn to pieces. Going into the warriors' den, he glanced at Leopardflight, then went into his nest. He could not sleep in Dewflight's nest, it would probably upset Eaglewing. He blinked as Leopardflight stood up and padded away, but said nothing. Shimmerstar's scent was fresh here so Leopardflight was probably going to sort out things with Robinpaw.

Hollyheart frowned. "I'm sorry too. It doesn't even matter, Robinpaw doesn't like me..." She said unhappily. "The rules mean everything and I should follow them but I just..." She sighed. She couldn't just let go of the feelings. She had liked him for so long, but now she wasn't even sure if he even wanted her as his friend. "Pinetail, I don't want to be alone forever. Do I really have to?

Hazelpaw blinked. "Uh... Well..." She looked up as fluffy grey fur blocked her view of Robinpaw. She held back a sigh of relief. She never really talked to Robinpaw much, and she certainly never would tell him her secrets. He was so much bigger and older than her, he was always kind of intimidating, despite his kind heart. Looking up at Shimmerstar, she felt confused. Was there a fight? Hazelpaw thought back. Oh, Hollyheart said something... She realized.

Sunpaw blinked. He had never really thought that Halfpaw might like him. He hadn't really thought of liking her that way. But, she was nice. And strong. She always seemed to be happy... Maybe because she was so pretty. And she was very smart. He smiled and licked her forehead. "Well then, I like you too." He said happily. He wondered if Sootpaw had seen that. No, she was too busy with the medicine cats. It didn't really matter if she did, did it...?

Leopardflight looked up as Shimmerstar padded in. He quickly sat up and was going to greet the leader when the tom just started speaking. Leopardflight waited patiently until he was done, nodding occasionally. He wanted to say something, but blinked as the leader left. Leopardflight sat thinking for a while, before Barkfur padded in and sat in his nest. Stretching, Leopardflight padded out into the main cave and sat down, assuming Shimmerstar was going to get Robinpaw.

Pigeoncloud blinked. "Well, I think Shimmerstar's lost 3 lives. I doubt he'd die before your kits became apprentices." He said blankly. He hadn't known that Fawnleap liked Shimmerstar that way, but he didn't comment on it. After all, he didn't think that was a bad thing. Not as bad as his own love for Pinetail. Pigeoncloud looked at the ground. What was this meeting about? What if Pinetail told him he hated him? Maybe it was all a trick to make Pigeoncloud look like a mousebrain?

Reaching the cave, she walked in and tried to spot Shimmerstar but saw his tail disappear in the apprentice den. She decided to wait and not interrupt him.

Sighing, he moved closer and rested his tail on her lower back. "Hollyheart....you are never truly alone. You have a clan who will always be here for you. And one day when I have joined StarClan, you will have an apprentice of your own." He stated softly. "And I will be here for you. In a way, you are like a daughter to me."

Flicking Pigeonclouds ear with her tail, she easily padded past him. "Looks like we didn't miss too much." She said as she noticed Shimmerstar by the apprentice den and Leopardflight was awake.

Pinning his ears back, he felt a bit nervous as his leader looked down at him. "Yes. But it isn't his fault. I angered him and I deserved it. He is my mentor and I should have treated him with respect. I am really sorry but I'll take whatever punishment you give me." He looked up at him. "I just don't want him to hate me now."

Rolling onto her side, she froze when she saw Sunpaw and Halfpaw. Noticing him lick her forehead, she felt a small pain in her chest and looked away. Curling into a ball, she pinned her ears back as she just wanted to sleep.

"Wait!" She said and lifted her paw to push him back by his nose. "Well then, you like me too? Sunpaw.....I want you to like me for me. Not just because I like you." She said. It would be nice but she wanted it to be real. "If you don't like me that way, just tell me. I would like for us to see if you develop feelings for me but I don't want you to just because of how I feel."

Shimmerstar blinked. "You must apologize to your mentor." He said calmly. He knew Robinpaw did deserve a punishment for disrespecting his mentor, but Leopardflight had been terrible to him as well. He glanced outside and spotted the warrior, as well as Fawnleap. "He is waiting for you." Shimmerstar said, dismissing Robinpaw. He blinked down at his daughter, wanting to ask her questions, but decided to wait. He stood up and padded away, to see Fawnleap. "Greetings, Fawnleap." He said cheerily. He always felt happier around her. She was his most trusted friend. Well, he wouldn't just call her a friend... He blinked. "You look worried." He murmured.

Hollyheart sighed. "Yes. I will always have my clan, but..." She shook her head. "I am a medicine cat and I have a job, yes, but what if I never stop liking Robinpaw?" She asked worriedly. She couldn't bear the thought of him ending up with someone like Halfpaw or Sootpaw. Mapleheart was in his age group...

Hazelpaw blinked up at her father and their eyes met for a moment, then he blinked away and left. She sighed. She was bored and she had no idea what to do. Her stomach growled and she stood up, going to the prey pile. She didn't want to talk to Robinpaw anymore, and he was supposed to talk to Leopardflight anyway.

Sunpaw nodded. "Okay. I do like you, Halfpaw." He murmured. She was making sense, but he was really realizing how much she suited him. "I understand why you feel this way, but the more I think about it the more I really think I want to be with you." He said. He thought for a moment, then had an idea. "We should go somewhere nice tonight. We could sneak out and go to the top of the waterfall in the forest. I want to see the stars reflecting in your eyes!" He said excitedly. He had always liked Halfpaw's eyes, they were so fascinating.

Leopardflight frowned as Shimmerstar left. That meant Robinpaw would come over to him to apologize. Maybe. But Leopardflight would have to do the same. He sighed, remembering how much he always struggled with apologies. He would have to apologize to Mapleheart, too. Maybe he could ask Robinpaw for help.

Pigeoncloud nodded and smirked. The fight had been kind of entertaining, actually. Two young toms teasing eachother until one got angry. It happened often, but normally not between apprentice and mentor. Robinpaw had been disrespectful and Leopardflight had let it get to him. They were a ridiculous pair, but Pigeoncloud knew why Shimmerstar put them together. At least, he was pretty sure why. Hopefully Leopardflight would have learned from his own mistakes and taught Robinpaw why he should restrain himself from doing things like that, but they always seemed to be too immature together.

Looking up, she gave a swift nod of her head. "I am. It seems that a fox has entered our territory and has made a den as well. We returned to camp so that you could decide how you want to tackle this problem." She said as her tail flicked back and forth anxiously.

Letting out a soft sigh, he knew how she felt. "I know but you can't hold him back as he will become a warrior and most likely find a she-cat to have kits with. I know it's hard but it's something we can't change." He wished he could make her feel better but lying wouldn't do any good.

"Leopardflight.....I wanted to say I am sorry. I honestly wasn't trying to make you mad or anything. I just got ahead of myself and wanted to help but I shouldn't have gotten involved. I truly am sorry and I won't do it again. Do you hate me now?" He asked, his voice unusually soft and full of worry.

Blushing, she felt incredibly warm now. "As long as we don't get caught, sure." She knew they could get in trouble if they were seen sneaking out but it would be nice to spend some time with him. Her gaze moved back to the medicine den. "But it will be strange not sleeping next to Sootpaw. We have slept next to one another since we were kits."

Frowning, he nodded. "Okay, well, I want Foxpelt to go, and Leopardflight, Robinpaw and Cougarfang. Actually, I want Robinpaw to try use his powers." He said. Foxpelt was strong and brave. Leopardflight and Robinpaw needed to spend time together, as well as practice their skills. Shimmerstar was quite interested on what Robinpaw's powers were. It was always exciting... He knew Cougarfang would do anything she could to protect the clan. He was relieved all the cats he needed were at camp. "You can lead the patrol if you wish." He murmured. He wanted to spend time with Fawnleap, but it would be good for her to go on the patrol. He would just let her decide.

Hollyheart nodded. "Okay." She murmured. She hadn't given up on Robinpaw, but she was angry at him. She had really tried to help him, but he just made her feel like she didn't matter. She padded back to Sootpaw and sat down, bored. The apprentice looked like she was trying to sleep, but Hollyheart wasn't sure if that was a good idea. She decided to simply monitor Sootpaw's breathing while she slept. Hollyheart glanced into the clearing. She spotted Fawnleap and Shimmerstar who seemed worried. Fawnleap had gone out on a border patrol, but if she was back so soon, there must be a threat. Hollyheart padded over to the herbs and began making a pile of things to treat any injured cats with, but she made sure to listen to Sootpaw's breathing.

Hazelpaw picked out a mouse and took a few bites out of it, chewing appreciatively. She glanced up at the medicine cats' den. Hollyheart didn't look worried, so Sootpaw was probably fine. Hazelpaw sighed with relief and looked around the clearing. There were a few cats here and there. Her gaze landed on her father, who was talking to Fawnleap. Hazelpaw instantly realized it. He had a thing for her. She frowned. Hazelpaw had never known her mother, but she felt like Shimmerstar had betrayed Hazelpaw and Hazelheart. Hazelpaw sighed. She wished she remembered her mother. Apparently they were exactly the same, but she still wanted to have met her. Finishing her meal, Hazelpaw stood up and padded over to Leafsong and Kestrelwing. "What was Hazelheart like?" She asked.

Sunpaw nodded. "At least we won't get sick. I hope she gets better soon." He purred. He wondered what it would be like to have a littermate. He knew he had some once, but he didn't remember them. When he was just about a moon he went to live with his house folk and that was all he really knew about companionship.

Leopardflight frowned as Shimmerstar left. That meant Robinpaw would come over to him to apologize. Maybe. But Leopardflight would have to do the same. He sighed, remembering how much he always struggled with apologies. He would have to apologize to Mapleheart, too. Maybe he could ask Robinpaw for help.

Pigeoncloud padded over to Foxpelt. "The kits. Are you proud?" He purred. He was actually rather surprised at how young Foxpelt and Spottedpelt were to have kits. Shimmerstar was many seasons old and yet Hazelpaw was born six moons ago. So were Halfpaw and Sootpaw, he realized. Pigeoncloud had never really thought of having kits. And especially not when he was at the age of a cat like Eaglewing.

"I should go along in case something happens." She said, knowing her fast speed could be useful. The she-cat wanted to stay and talk to Shimmerstar but knew that a fox on their territory was potentially dangerous. "Foxpelt, Cougarfang, Leopardflight and Robinpaw you are forming the patrol to drive a fox out." She called out as she turned to face the other cats.

"I'm going to collect some burdock root." He said before leaving the den and heading for the entrance of the cave. He knew that Sootpaw would be fine with Hollyheart as the she-cat had earned her medicine cat name already. "I'll be back soon!" He called out to her before leaving the cave and heading to where he found the burdock root last time.

Ear twitching, she glanced over at Leopardflight as she heard Fawnleap call his name. Hesitating, she soon heard stood and went over to him. "Good luck with the fox, Leopardflight. Be careful." She said before walking passed him and disappeared into the warriors den.

Lifting her head when she heard her name, she stood and went over to Foxpelt. "Alright. I could use a good fight." She arched her back as she stretched her legs. "I am sure we will send that fox out of our territory with it's tail between it's legs."

He hadn't expected his name to be called but sat up as he heard it was about a fox. He was glad that he was big and strong to be chosen for this. He would chase it out to keep his family safe. He glanced over at his nephew as he heard his name and knew that he was chosen because of his power. Robinpaw had never really got to use it so it would be interesting to see.

It seemed a fox had made a home in their territory. He didn't like that but was relieved he wasn't chosen. He wanted to stay nearby in case something happened with Sootpaw. She was much quieter and more shy than her sister.

"Yeah.....she is my only littermate and I can't imagine not seeing her every day." She stated softly. "She is my sister and best friend." Sighing softly, she turned when Fawnleap called cats. "Robinpaw is so lucky! I would love to be chosen for the patrol!" She found Robinpaw rather handsome but he was the oldest apprentice and was very nice. He seemed so brave and confident all the time.

Stopping mid-lick, his tongue was sticking out as he looked up at Hazelpaw. Sticking his tongue back in his mouth, he glanced at Leafsong before looking back at the apprentice. "Well....she was one of the smartest cats and she wasn't afraid to fight for her clan." He wondered what brought about this question but figured she might want to know more about her mother. But wouldn't Shimmerstar be a better choice to ask? "You look a lot like Hazelheart and even have the same green eyes as she did."

Leafsong sat up a bit when Hazelpaw came over to her and her mate. "Kestrelwing is right. You know, she once snuck out of camp with your father in the middle of the night when they were young. I don't know what happened but they returned at dawn and your father was soaking wet." She let out a purr of amusement at the memory. "Your mother was excited when she found out she was expecting you."

He smiled. "Good luck." He said to her, before padding away. He went to the prey pile and sat patiently, but he felt bored. Sighing, he stood up and went to the warriors' den. "Barkfur?" He asked his brother. Shimmerstar sighed and left Barkfur to sleep. He supposed he should do the same. Sun-down would be here soon enough, but he felt worried. He felt he should try to use his powers. Going into his den, he closed his eyes and quickly fell asleep. He heard yowls, cats shrieking for their lives. Wind wailing. Creatures roaring. Cats choking. Then silence. All that was always the worst part. Those were all the possible sounds he would hear before he died. Shimmerstar found himself surrounded by a dark dusty plain of nothing. He often saw this. He found that nothing happened unless he asked the darkness a question. "What will happen to my daughter? Will Sootpaw get well? What is coming for my clan?" He asked the darkness. He jumped as a cat spoke behind him. "She's almost exactly like me, Shimmerstar." Shimmerstar spun around. "Hazelheart?" He whispered. "Hazelpaw is in love." She said. "What?!" Shimmerstar spat. "I'll kill the tom who tries to-" Hazelheart cut him off. "There is no need to kill any tom, Shimmerstar." She said. The area around them began to change, plants grew and Shimmerstar found himself in the forest. He opened his mouth to speak, but Hazelheart cut him off. "Plants have hearts, the sun does shine, robins sing and tails intertwine. Soot does call and eagles soar, the bark is softer than before. Foxes prey and kits do play, the Mist will live another day." Hazelheart said. Shimmerstar recognized almost all of the cats who could have been mentioned, but what did it mean? "Can't you just-" He gasped as Hazelheart faded away. Darkness engulfed him and he saw nothing. "Please, come back! What does i-" He froze. Fawnleap sat in front of him, glowing through the dark. "No no no! I don't! I didn't- I still..." Shimmerstar collapsed. "I'm sorry!" He called to the darkness.

"Okay." Hollyheart said. She flicked her ears, hearing some cat mumbling. She turned around. "Listen, no-" She blinked. No-one. She glanced at Shimmerstar's den. He was rolling around, saying sorry to something. She frowned. He seemed really scared of something. She didn't want to wake him up in case he got mad at her for stopping his dreams. He didn't often tell her or Pinetail about any of these dreams, but apparently the ancestors came to talk to him. He always talked about some weird riddle thing. Last time it had been 'A leopard's call breaks the badger's heart.'. It actually made sense, though. Leopardflight had apparently struck a badger in the chest not long after that, which made it run very far away. The last one he had talked about was something to do with Nuts on fire. She didn't get it but she was pretty sure it had something to do with Hazelpaw. She started trying to go over the ideas in her head. Smoke? Soot? Ash? Blaze? She asked herself. She paused. Soot... She blinked and turned to Sootpaw. "Do you know what Shimmerstar's power is?" She asked. It was very likely Eaglewing had already told both his kits, but she wanted to make sure.

Hazelpaw giggled a little at the mention of her father just walking into camp soaked with water. She purred. "Was she? I don't think I'll ever have kits, but I definitely want a mate!" She purred. She couldn't see herself looking after kits, they were just so difficult. She wouldn't really want an apprentice either, but it might be good for her to spend time teaching others. She wouldn't even have kits, after all, if she was with Sootpaw. Which would never happen, but everyone told her it was good to aim to do the impossible.

Sunpaw flicked his ears. "Robinpaw is..." He paused, thinking of all the different ways to describe him. "A little in love with practically everyone." He said. It was true. He had seen him have gooey eyes at Hazelpaw, and he always spent a lot of time with Hollyheart. He hung around Sootpaw and Halfpaw a lot. And he had seemed really enthusiastic to have Mapleheart go on a patrol with him and Leopardflight. This was a bit rude of Robinpaw, actually. A polite tom would fall in love with one cat. Just one.

Leopardflight paused for a little while. "I don't hate you. I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have yelled at you. You will be a great warrior one day." He said, standing up. He blinked as Mapleheart walked past him. He opened his mouth to say something, but she was gone. He frowned. "I wish I hadn't yelled at Mapleheart." He mumbled. He padded over to Fawnleap, his tail brushing the ground and his gaze on his paws.

Pigeoncloud blinked as Foxpelt padded over to Fawnleap. He rolled his eyes and went into the nursery. It was so peaceful. He carefully went over to the kits. He held his breath and carefully put out his paw to touch the brown kit. Kits' fur was always so soft. He smiled, taking his paw away. They seemed very healthy, and very pretty. He liked the little she-cat, she looked like a leopard. He wouldn't mind mentoring her one day.

cough really long Shimmerstar thing sorry about that oh and if you want to make up a dead cat to talk to Shimmerstar then feel free to because that cat can also talk to the med cats but they don't need a form or anything really just a name and gender this ooc is too long okay bye))

"Robinpaw, I want you to use your power to try and communicate with the fox. Don't feel bad if it is reluctant or you can't really talk to it. Foxes don't seem all that smart and it will most likely ignore you." She said with a flick of her tail. Once she had everyone gathered, she turned and began to lead them out. "Everyone stay close. There is a good chance the fox could have a family and I don't want anyone getting hurt."

Padding down to the river, he bent down and carefully began to lap up some water. As he sat up, a drop of water that was stuck to his whisker suddenly slid down it before falling back into the water. He watched as ripples spread across the surface, the circles getting bigger as it spread out. Suddenly a soft and faint voice seemed to speak into his ear but he knew no one was there. "Something small can create something much bigger. Decisions may seem simple but can have big consequences when made." He swiftly turned his head despite the fact he knew no one would be there. The tom pinned his ears back as he knew it had to be a StarClan cat. Was the message aimed at him and Pigeoncloud?

Eagerly following, her fluffy tail flicked back and forth as she wondered what they would find. Hopefully there would be no cubs or a mate as she was worried about Robinpaw. The tom was getting big like Foxpelt but he was still a bit inexperienced.

The tom turned to Robinpaw and smiled. "This is exciting! You'll be able to finally try your power out. I always wondered how it worked." He smiled as nudged him. He would be sure to have Robinpaw see his cousins later as he wanted all of his family to be close. He knew the tom still had some issues with losing both of his mother and not knowing his father so he made it a point to be like a father figure to him. Leopardflight didn't exactly have a fatherly feel to him.

Sitting there, he frowned before his tail thumped against the ground twice. "A storm is coming......a big one." He could feel the familiar energy coursing through his body and knew it wasn't a regular storm. Looking at the roof of the cave, a bolt of lightning flashed across his vision but he knew it wasn't really there. It was a mere vision to show that it was going to be a thunder storm.

Ears twitching at the others statement, he felt bad and lightly nudged his side. "She'll forgive you. After all, no one can stay mad at you for long." He offered before bounding over to his uncle. "Awesome! I am excited to try it out! Who knows, the fox might become scared when it realizes I am able to talk to it."

Letting out a yawn, she rolled onto her side. "I think dad mentioned it had to do with dreams. Like....he gets premonitions in his dreams about what is gonna happen. But it isn't always bad I don't think."

"I sort of feel bad for him. I overheard Foxpelt talking to Spottedpelt about what happened to Robinpaws parents. There was a flood when he was a kit and he left the cave. Somehow he got stranded on some moss in it and his mother dove into the water to save him. She barely managed to get him to safety before she was swept away by the water. They never found her and no one knows who his father is." She watched Robinpaw acting so happy but wondered if it was all a facade. She had caught him at times looking lost and almost sad. She wouldn't be surprised if he bottled up his emotions. "He might be looking for approval from others because of it."

"Your mother was actually my apprentice. She was always so eager to learn but wasn't the best hunter as she was noisy and kept asking me questions. Once she asked me why it had to snow and I said it was so that cat's with white fur like Leafsong would have a chance to actually catch some prey." He let out a laugh as he dodged his mates paw.

It's not easy to blend in with brown and green when most of your body is white. At least when we were apprentices, I didn't think I was quiet enough to sneak up on a badger and end up being chased by it after sneezing." She added cheekily.

A soft light began to glow before another cat appeared. She had stars in her fur and her hazel eyes seemed to glow as she confidently walked over to Shimmerstar. "Do not fret. Things may seem troubling and confusing but remember that you have your ancestors but more importantly, you have your clanmates." She sat down, her tail curling over her paws. "Something small can create something much bigger. Decisions may seem simple but can have big consequences when made. However, if you fear to make decisions because of it, you may miss out on what could have been. Do not be afraid to trust your heart....." Her voice became faint as she slowly began to fade away.

Shimmerstar gasped as Dewflight appeared, then quickly began to fade away. "Please, I don't know what to do!" He called. He felt so guilty about his feeling for Fawnleap, but Dewflight seemed to be encouraging him. What did Hazelheart want him to do? No, Hazelheart is dead. I need to accept that and move on. He told himself. He had seen her once or twice before in his dreams, and a lot before she died, but this time she had been more than just a messenger. He sighed. "Hazelheart, I am sorry, but I can't wait forever to have love again." He told the darkness. "You can love us both." Hazelheart murmured. Shimmerstar blinked. "Tell her if she can love me, she can love you." She said. Shimmerstar looked around, but he could not see her. "I will be visiting her and she must love me, and prove it, if she wishes to be with you." Called the darkness. Shimmerstar bolted awake. He saw Fawnleap's patrol leave. He sighed and stood up, going to the Medicine cat's den. "I wish to speak with Pinetail." He said. Once he had an answer he quickly left them and rushed out of the cave. "I must speak with you later." He whispered to Fawnleap, going into the forest.

"No, it's often good. He sometimes tells us about it. Not often me, actually. But the last one he did tell me was about the time you guys became apprentices. I didn't think it meant anything at first, but I've been thinking about it, and it might have mentioned you." She said. She looked up as Shimmerstar padded in. "He was just here, but he's gone to collect Burdock root. It grows in that dusty place near the river." She said. Shimmerstar quickly left and he padded out of the cave. "I think he's just had one now." She muttered, angry she had not been included in his list of cats to tell.

Hazelpaw laughed at their stories. "Hey, Shimmerstar was talking about a thing called Rainclan today. Did Hazelheart come from that?" She asked eagerly. She flicked her ear, remembering she hadn't told Sootpaw about being descended from them.

Sunpaw blinked. "Yeah, probably." He muttered. He hated how Halfpaw felt bad for Robinpaw. Sunpaw had grown up without any cats at all in his life. Even now he still considered his housefolk his family. They had raised him since he was a moon old, and he couldn't deny that he missed them. "I'm gonna go hang out with Hazelpaw." He said blankly, walking away from Halfpaw. He went over to the elders, sitting down to listen to them.

Leopardflight nodded and kept walking. He hoped it was true. He really liked Mapleheart. He blinked as Shimmerstar rushed past them. He seemed to whisper something to Fawnleap. Rolling his eyes, Leopardflight kept walking. They seemed far too close to just be Leader and Deputy.

Pigeoncloud gasped and quietly shushed the kit. "It's okay. My name is Pigeoncloud." He murmured. He hoped the kit would quiet down, he didn't want to risk waking Spottedpelt. She cared about her sleep very much, and she must have been especially tired. Pigeoncloud stayed extremely still, willing his ancestors to be on his side.

Hazelheart sighed as Shimmerstar left. She stretched. "Greetings, Dewflight. I believe you sent a message to Pinetail, was this intentional?" She asked, staring down at the medicine cat. She honestly thought Pinetail and Pigeoncloud were quite cute together, but it was forbidden of course. "I think it's fine." She muttered. She knew it was not good for Pinetail to be so focused on Pigeoncloud, but maybe if he got to be with the tom, he would be at peace.
