"Thanks Mark for doing this but you really don't have to stay. You could go get some work done." She said to him. She kissed him. "I will see you later." She walked towards the door.

"Nope, I am cuddling with you." Mark said softly and smiled at her gently.

Cassie smiled a little at him. "Fine." She said and walked to the bedroom after telling her dad that she was taking a nap. She went inside and laid down.

Mark went with her, "Ready to sleep?" he asked her softly as he looked at Cassie, giving her a soft smile.

Cassie looked at him. "I am ready to try but I do not think that I will be able to." She said and snuggled into him. She closed her eyes and tried to fall asleep.

Mark held her close and hummed to her softly, he was always going to take care of her, no matter what happened, he would be there by her side.

Cassie managed to fall asleep for about three hours but it did not last long after that before she sat up quickly. She looked around and then rubbed her face.

Mark sat up with her, "Hey, hey, it's okay." he said gently as he rubbed her back.

Cassie looked at him and barried her head in his chest. "I-I'm sorry. I just don't know why this keeps happening." She said. She was clearly frustrated.

Mark held her close, "You went through something terrifying, it's opkay, you need to give yourself time to heal." he said gently.
